Congratulations to the Backstreet Boys on topping this years Rolling Stone Readers Poll with 10 awards including Artist of the Year! They also picked up awards in the following categories: Album of the Year, Single of the Year ("I Want It That Way"), Band of the Year, Tour of the Year, Video of the Year ("Larger Than Life"), Album Cover of the Year, Best Dressed and others. Check out the guys on the cover of Rolling Stone on newstands now.
More congratulations for the Backstreet Boys' five Grammy nominations! "I Want It That Way" is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Performance by a Duo/Group;"Millennium" is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Album. The Grammy Awards air on CBS at 8:00PM on Wednesday, February 23.
The guys also picked up two American Music Award nominations for Favorite Pop/Rock Band/Duo/Group and Favorite Pop/Rock Album ("Millennium"). The American Music Awards air on ABC at 8:00PM on Monday, January 17.
BACKSTREET BOYS ON TOUR!
To follow up Rolling Stone's Tour of the Year honors, The Backstreet Boys have decided to hit the road again. The group will be touring the US again beginning in February and running through mid March. The group will bring their amazing songs and choreography along with one of the most incredible stage shows ever produced to Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, PA on February 11th and 12th, the Pepsi Arena in Albany, NY on February 14th and 15th, the Coliseum in Charlotte, NC on February 17th, the Centennial Sports Arena in Raleigh, NC on February 18th and the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA on February 19th. THE NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO FROM "MILLENNIUM" IS "SHOW ME THE MEANING OF BEING LONELY" CHECK THEM OUT ON-LINE AT BBOYS.COM
The Backstreet Boys new single and video is the incredible "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely." The song is a tribute to longtime friend and producer Denniz Pop who passed away in 1998. Though the song is a bit darker than many of the group's previous singles, the song is getting a great reaction from both fans and radio and video programmers throughout the world. The video premiered on MTV on New Years eve and was one of the last videos played of the 20th Century! September 23rd 1994

The much-anticipated launch of the Backstreet Boys 'Into The Millennium Tour' set to begin on September 14th and 15th in Fort Lauderdale at the National Car Rental Arena was postponed due to Hurricane Floyd. Nick, Howie, Brian, AJ, and Kevin were concerned for the safety of their fans and decided to postpone the shows. The Fort Lauderdale shows have been rescheduled for December 5th and 6th (tickets for the 9/14-9/15 shows will be honored for those dates). The group's sold-out 11-week, 39-city tour in support of their #1 chart-topping, record setting Millennium CD, ultimately kicked-off with an amazing show on September 17th in Charlotte, NC at the Charlotte Coliseum. Fans were treated to an incredible set that featured the Boys trademark vocals and choreography as well as mesmerizing lights, effects and stage sets. Don't miss the Backstreet Boys when they come to your town.
