The quality of the recording is not very good, the reason for the low grade. Everything else about this show is amazing. The band gets really into it. Kurt does some great stuff with Serve the Servants-- the intro is a little different than the jazz chord he usually uses, and he adds some odd notes at the very end. Krist gets lots of goodies during this show, including a stick of salami, an "orange upside the head", and a hippie bag. I never understood why people threw stuff at bands... idiots. Kurt forgets the notes to Very Ape and Dave has to tell him what they are. Kurt talks about a time when he was at an Aerosmith concert and made a paper aeroplane out of the program-- he threw it and it hit someone in the head. He says he'll one day tell that story to his grandkids =.... ( He then counts off Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam really mockingly and sarcastically, it's really funny. After Jesus..., he tells the audience and the rest of the band that he's going to play Man Who Sold The World with an acoustic guitar, something he didn't do for the In Utero tour. Kurt plays the riff to Negative Creep before All Apologies. Kurt says that they turned Dave into Bryan Adams, and then Dave sings a few bars of "Everything I Do". Krist makes mention that their set is longer than Metallica's. Typical In Utero Set with a less-than-typical show. I would definately recommend this, but get it on video from me because my video is really good quality and this is straight from the private video. |
