Quality is not that hot for a soundboard, but it's about as low-gen as you will find. Here She Comes Now is definately the best version ever, with an extended guitar solo by Kurt (probably the longest I've ever heard him go) lasting over 4 minutes!!! The song itself is over 8 minutes long!!! Just for that, this show is worth getting. Krist is fucking tripping out... he starts talking about pregnant beavers on roller skates. Pretty scary if you ask me. Kurt's guitar feeds back throughout the show. He changes the words to Love Buzz to explain his anger:
Would you believe me and I tell you I bought a brand new guitar A cost me a hundred and twenty five dollars And it really sucks
Very cool. The sound is very treble-heavy on this recording, hurting my ears at times. Sounds like there are about 20 people at the show. The first half of this show is taken from a soundboard recording, and everything after Big Cheese is from an audience recording. Nicely combined though. Pay To Play starts off with Kurt providing the most massive wall of feedback I have EVER heard for that song, and probably in the top amounts of feedback I've ever heard him put out. Fucking loud and powerful. What's sad is that the audience recording is nowhere near the quality of the soundboard (obviously), and the tape suffers as a result. Everything after Big Cheese is lower than A quality (the soundboard is about A- quality). In Bloom sounds great, and of course Sappy tears my heart out. Recording is a little distorted during "Stain", "Negative Creep", and "Blew". Just before Blew, someone yells out "Melvins". I love it! This is a great show. I highly recommend it!!!! |
