The first 13 tracks (Reading) are incredible. The band really gets into this show, and there is some talking. Kurt sings a duet on Molly's Lips with Eugene Kelly of the Vaselines. Lithium is one of the best I've ever heard. Kurt changes the words around in some parts, and screams a bunch of unintelligable things at the end. The End is a short jam of the Doors song, and Endless Nameless is one of the best ever (it's a shame it was so short). Actually, at the end of Endless Nameless, you can hear a guy say "Ha Ha!!! He jumped into the drumset!!!" It's totally hillarious. The Ruisrock festival also is great (except for the annoying fucking clappers). Polly is pretty cool, cause Kurt turns the distortion on and off throughout the end. There is a rare performance of Swap Meet worth owning. All in all, this is a great disc with two great shows, and the only reason for the A- is that both are kinda crappy quality. A necessity in every collection. |
