Good quality sound. The source is a digital recorder, so the sound is crisp and the mix is well balanced. Kurt's vocals are very nice. Supposedly, there is some in-between song stuff cut, but it is not obvoius on this disc, and I would really need a complete recording to verify that. tourette's and Lounge Act. Two songs that make this disc worth getting on their own. Lounge Act-- the light yet dark pop song-- is probably their best live song ever; tourette's it's perfect hard, thrashing, aggressive compliment. Smells Like Teen Spirit features the "More Than A Feeling" intro (though not taken to the extreme as the version on 08/30/92). Another great segway is Negative Creep into All Apologies. The hard punk rock thrash is once again followed by Kurt's beautiful sense of melody. Krist's original bass part, which was essentially one note through the entire verse, sounds somewhat irritating during this performance. At the very beginning of the song, Dave says he's "choking on his own snot". He introduces "Been A Son" as "Annison". He dedicates "Blew" to Dave Smith. Whoever that is! Kurt begins Dumb but stops after he strums the first couple of chords, drawing one guy to shout "WOAH!". I wonder if something happened...??? Great version of Dumb for sure, sounds absolutely beautiful. After the destrution is over, following a blistering version of Territorial Pissings, Dave says that the people in the crowd "can leave now because [they]'re going to be up there for a while". Great show. I recommend this... it's a staple in my collection. |
