VERSION 1 Date: 10-29-89 Venue: "Edward's No. 8" Birmingham, UK Source: "Wired" CD (DAT) > CDR(1) Time: 45 mins Sound Sample: Blew Setlist: Scoff Love Buzz Floyd The Barber Dive Polly Big Cheese Spank Thru About A Girl Token Eastern Song Mr. Moustache Negative Creep Blew My Rating: B+ Great show. The sound is not bad for a show from '89 (hey, it's a DAT!), though the volume level is pretty low. Kurt screams "I LOVE YOU ALL" after Dive and explains how Polly is "kinda mellow" (asking the audience to "put up with this one") and "not much like Black Sabbath". There is alot of between song "dead" time during the duration of this show... Kurt can be heard before Mr. Moustache saying "we haven't played that in a long time". For enders, Kurt goes on to thank someone named "Tess" for cutting his hair that night. What a guy! Not bad... VERSION 2 Date: 10-29-89 Venue: "Edward's No. 8" Birmingham, UK Source: ANA(1) > CDR(4) Setlist: School Scoff Love Buzz Floyd The Barber Dive Polly Big Cheese Spank Thru About A Girl Token Eastern Song Mr. Moustache Stain (jam) Negative Creep Blew My Rating: A- This is the complete audience analog version of the show. My CDR is editted VERY strangely. There are a bunch of unnecessary tracks for the between-song stuff, some of which are silent... but it's a small price to pay for this incredible show. Love it! |
