Part 1 Part 1 of "Since Then"
Jennifer Cassy was sitting on her couch, clicking through the channels, looking for something decent to watch. It was Saturday morning and she had made plans with her friends who had cancelled with her 20 minutes before. They got into a fight and Jennifer had hung up. Now she was very bored.
"Why is there nothing on?" she said as she flicked off the TV, stood up and walked into her kitchen. She looked at the phone, wishing someone would call her, then turned her back to it and opened the fridge to get a PEPSI.
"RRRRRRIIIIINNNNNGGGGG!!!!!!" she phone rang.
"Yes!!", Jennifer yelled as she picked up the portable, she let it ring two times before answering it. After the second ring she picked it up.
"Hello?" Jennifer said.
"Hi, i'm looking for Jennifer Cassy", said a males voice.
"This is Jennifer, whos this?"
"Umm, hey. This is Nick Carter and i'm calling cause you were in my grade 4 class and I was just looking at old photos and we were friends in grade 4 and I wanted to get in touch with you again." Nick said, pausing to take a breath.
"Wait a minute," Jennifer started. "You said Nick Carter right?"
"Yeah."
"From my grade 4 class?"
"Yeah."
"I don't remember a Nick."
" Well, I was called Nickolas at the time and I was kinda a..."
"Oh Nickolas! I remember you! You were that kid that was taking singing lessions and everyone made fun of you. Oh ya, I remember Nickolas Carter. Nickolas..." Jennifer stopped.
"Jennifer?" Nick asked.
"Nickolas Carter from the Backstreet Boys? Oh my God it never even clicked! Ever since you left school and became a Backstreet Boy it never occured to me. I feel so stupid!! But, where are you right now? At home?"
"I'm on the tour bus."
"Cool!"
"So you remember me now?" Nick asked.
"Ya I can't believe I didn't figure that out. You used to be soo....now your so...good looking! Wow you have changed!!"
Nick started to laugh, "Thanks, I think."
"Oh, I wish we could meet up or something. But your so busy now and....."
"Actually, if you like, I could fly you up here and you could tour with us for awile. Would that be ok? Like you must be done school now right? No summer school or anything.....Jen....Jennifer, you there?"
"Oh ya, sorry, i'm just kinda in shock. Ok, so let me get this straight, you want me to come tour with you?"
"Yeah. For like a couple weeks or somethin'. Only if you want to that is." Nick asked.
"Yeah! Oh course I do." Jennifer replied, now in a great mood. "But won't I get in the way or something? Aren't you guys touring and stuff?"
"Don't worry! I brought a friend with me while I was touring in Europe and everything was fine. So you wanna come?"
"Yeah, i'd love to. I have a lot of questions and stuff, but first of all, why did you call me?"
Nick began very slowly and quietly, "Well, I was looking through old pictures and I remembered you as alwasy being nice to me and you never made fun of me. Or at least to my face. You were different than everyone else, more mature. So I thought i'd call you, but I had to find you first though, you moved!"
"Yep."
"I called your old number and they had said you moved 2 years ago so I looked up you number on the internet. It didn't tell me where you live though."
"Oh ya? I live 2 minutes away from Ruskin." Jennifer told him.
"No way? Thats so close to my house." Nick replied excitedly.
"I know, i've seen your house before, we'll before I remembered I knew you."
"NNIIIIIICCCCCKKKK!!!!" someone yelled in the background of Nicks phone.
"YAAA!!!" Nick yelled back.
"Were here, lets go!" They yelled back.
"Jen?" Nick asked.
"Ya?"
"I have to go but can I call you later?" he asked.
"Sure."
"Ok, we'll work everything out about you coming then. I'm glad I found you."
"I'm glad too." Jennifer replied sincerly.
"I'll call you tonight, ok?"
"Yep."
"See you then."
"Ok."
"Bye."
"Bye."

As Jennifer hung up the phone, she thought over what just happened and screamed.
"Nick is Nickolas!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. Even though Jennifer was in a fight with her best friend Amber she called her anyways.
"Amber? Hey...I know were in an argument and i'm sooo sorry I was being a bitch.....yeah....but I have some amazing news to tell you......"
