Part 11 Part 11 of "Since Then"
Nick must have noticed the look on her face becasue he got worried.
"Jess, are you ok?" Nick asked as he wrapped his arms around her and let her rest her head on his shoulder.
"Yeah, i'm ok." she said as she got comfortable. She felt better now that she was wrapped securly inside Nicks strong arms.
"I hope so." Nick said as he gently kissed her on her head and started talking to Brian. Jennifer must have been really tired because on the 20 minute drive to the venue she fell asleep. Next thing she knew she was being woken up by Nick.
"Jennifer, Jennifer," Nick was saying softly. "We're here."
Jennifer lifted her head and giggled a little bit. "How could I fall asleep during a 20 minute car ride? Must have been the clausterphobia. It always seems to make me tired." she thought.
Nick remember how she had reacted before at the hotel so he called out to a security guard and asked for extra security. Nick explained to Jennifer that this would be similar to the hotel incident. He reminded her NOT to let go of his hand. She agreed and the security guards came to the limo. This time Nick and Jennifer were first out. When the limo door opened the screams grew louder. There was about 3 or 4 times as many screaming girls outside the limo.
"Nick!!" Jennifer yelled as she got out of the limo.
"Just don't let go Jennifer!!" Nick yelled as he started tugging at Jennifers hand. They started running. This time she couldn't hear much. She did something she shouldn't have. She looked up. She saw hundreds and hundreds of screaming girls, all squished together, just trying to get a glimpse at Nick. When she looked, someone threw something. It must have been something hard because when it came in contact with Jennifers head, it knocked her out. The screams suddenly stopped and everything went black.

When Jennifer opened her eyes, she was lying on a couch somewhere. There were bright lights above her and when she looked at them, her head hurt. She shut her eyes again. At that moment she could hear again. She heard her name, she heard someone yelling and she heard someone swearing. She opened her eyes again. She shuddered at the light but kept her eyes open. Suddenly Nicks head blocked the light.
"Jennifer?" he asked. He had a very concerned look on his face.
"Nick?" she asked grogilly. "How did I get here? And where exactly is here?"
"We're inside the venue, and you got hit with some girls camera while we we were running inside. You scared the shit out of me!!"Nick said as he picked up Jennifer's head gently and lifted it onto his lap.
"A camera?" she asked in disbelief. "Shit!" she said in surprise.
"A camera?" she though. "I got hit in the head with a camera?"
Jennifer looked up at Nick again and asked "Where's everyone else?"
"Oh, there all doing the sound check and getting ready."
"NICK!!!" Jennifer cried. "Why are you here then? You should be in there too. I'll be fine, go!! Go, get ready!"
"Jenn.....you were unconcious, I wasn't going to leave you. I wouldn't have been able to concentrate any..."
"Nick! I'm awake now. Go! Go do your sound check. I'll be fine. I don't want you to miss the sound check just cause of me. " Jennifer said looking into Nicks eyes.
"Fine, but only if you come too. I'm keeping you in my sight!! Whether you want me to or not!" Nick said stubbornly.
"FINE!!" she finally agreed. She lifted her head a bit a gave Nick a little kiss. Nick gently put her head down and nelt down beside her on the couch. Just as Jennifer was about to get up, Nick slid his hands under her legs and her neck and in one easy move he lifted her up.
"Nick!!" Jennifer screamed but the sudden movement must have hurt her head or something because she got a sudden stabbing feeling in her head.
"Shit!" she said.
"What?" Nick asked.
"My head. Still hurts a bit." she said.
"Why do you think i'm carrying you?" Nick asked.
"I can walk still Nick, only my head hurts you know?" she said sarcastically.
"Sure, sure, just want you to be ok." At that, they entered into a huge stage area. She saw all sorts of wires on the ground, and in the background she could see Brian, A.J., Kevin and Howie dancing and singing. When they saw the two coming they all stopped and came over.
"Oh my God!! Jenn, whats wrong now?" Brian exclamed running over.
"Just my head hurts! Nick insisted on carrying me. I'm fine. Just a little head-ache." she said smiling at Nick.
They all sighed and laughed at how protective Nick is. Then they all went back to there dancing.
"Nick, ya coming this time?" Kevin yelled.
Nick looked down at Jennifer.
"Go!!" she said gently. "I'll be ok."
"Nick walked over to a couch on the side of the stage and gently put Jennifer down. She gave him a little kiss on the lips and said thanks. Then Nick ran off to join the other. Jennifer eventually passed out again. Her headache had become unbearable so she just fell asleep.
