Part 13 Part 13 of "Since Then"
A couple minutes after standing all by herself, 4 other girls about 18 to 24 years old joined her.
"Do you guys know whats going on?" Jennifer asked.
"Well I think,"started a tall very pretty brunette. "that this is the part where they sing I'll Never Break Your Heart" to some people from the audience."
"Really?" Jennifer asked getting a huge smile on her face.
"Aww, Nicks so sweet," she thought.
Then all of a suddenly a girl with blond hair stuck out her hand at Jennifer,"I'm Caroline."
"I'm Jennifer," Jennifer told her as she shook her hand.
The other girls caught on and were all introducing each other to everyone.
"I'm Kathryn," said a short brunette.
"I'm Heather," said the tall pretty one.
"I'm Christine," said a medium size blond girl.
Soon they all were discussing who wanted who to sing to them.
"I hope I get Brian,"said Christine.
"I want Nick," Jennifer said. Heather turned to look at her.
"You too?" Heather asked. "No offence or anything, but they'll probobly give him to me because i'm tall and so is he. You'll probobly be paired with Howie or something."
Jennifer wanted to get mad at the girl but she thought that she let her think that, she get the disappointment when she wasn't paired with Nick. "You wish," she finally mumbled.
Finally a security guard came over a briefed them a bit. There was not to be any screaming, no switching people, you go with who you are assigned with. They all argreed to all this and started fixing themselves a bit. Suddenly a whole bunch of security guards came over to them. One of them started briefing us. "Girls, heres how its gonna happen. You're gonna come over to a room with us. The curtain rises and you go over to the guy we assign you with. Sit in the chair and be calm. Just follow what the guys do. Ok, heres who you're gonna go with...." Jennifer suddenly noticed the security guard.
"He was the one that was in the limo with Nick when Nick and I first met and when he had first picked her up.
"You," he said pointing at Christine, "You go with Brian."
"YES!!" she screamed.
"You," he said pointing at Kathryn, "You go with A.J."
Kathryn got a huge smile on her face. She ran over to Christine and started jumping. They both got the guy they wanted.
"You," he said pointing at Caroline, "You go with Kevin."
Her face went white, then she ran over to the other girls and joined the screaming.
"See, you'll be with Howie and i'm gonna be with Nick." Heather said in a really snotty tone. This girl was really pissing Jennifer off.
"You," he said pointing at Heather, "will go with....." he started. Heather turned to look at Jennifer and had a big evil smile on her face.
"Howie." The security guard finished.
"What?!?" she yelled.
"And Jennifer, you will of course be with Nick."He said with a smile.
"Thanks," she smiled.
Just as Heather was about to protest the security guard went over to her and asked her if he needed to get someone to replace her. She said "no" and settled down.
Jennifer went over to Heather. " I know you'll have a good time with Howie, probobly as much fun as i'll have with Nick." she said with a smug smile. Then she went over to the other girls and started talking with them all at once.
Then the security guard came over and told them they had 2 minutes. He brought them all over to the stage area. They stood behind a huge curtin. The guard ran over a couple more rules and then told us to be normal with the guys. When he said that he gave me a wink and a secritive smile and walked of. All of a sudden sound surrounded us. I could hear Brian.
"We have some guests now, girls...."
The curtain rose, there were bright blinding lights on the girls. The guys came over to them and they walked up to their guy. As Jennifer walked over to Nick, she saw Heather give her a dirty look. She just laughed. Nick greeted her with a big hug and a huge smile. As he took her hand and led her towards the chair she was to sit in he said in barely a whisper "Surprise". Jennifer smiled and mouthed the words "Thank-you". Nick led her over to the chair and sat her down.
"We want to introduce you to our guests, girls, intoduce yourselves...." Howie said as he held the microphone up to Heather.
"I'm Heather," Heather said with a seductive smile. Howie seemed to ignore it as he looked over at Kevin. Kevin held his microphone out to Caroline.
"I'm Caroline," she said as she smiled out into the audience.
Kevin looked over to Brian who held his microphone up to Christine.
"I'm Christine," Christine said as she smiled sweetly at Brian, who smiled back before looking over towards A.J.
A.J. held his microphone up to Kathryn. He winked at her. She gigled slightly before answering.
"I'm Kathryn," she said nervously looking at A.J.
Next it was Nick and Jennifer. Nick did as the others did and held his microphone up to Jennifer. Nick mouthed the words as Jennifer said them, "I'm Jennifer." He smiled and winked at her.
All of a sudden I'll Never Break You're Heart started up. Kevin started speaking and Caroline smiled. Then A.J. started singing. The guys got down on their knees and started singing to their girls. All the girls seemed to be touched and fully enjoying it. Especially Jennifer who didn't take her eyes off Nick the whole time. By the end of the song Christine, Jennifer and Kathryn were crying happily. Near the end the guys stood up with the girls and started dancing with them just like in their first video. At the end of the song, all of the guys gave "their girl" a hug and a kiss on the cheek except Nick and Jennifer. Jennifer wanted to give Nick a huge kiss but she knew she couldn't on stage so they gave each other a peck on the lips. Jennifer was crying quite a bit. Nick told her gently not to cry and she eventually stopped. After the song was over and they were all done hugging the guys walked with the girls backstage. They all said bye to them and signed an autograph or two. Jennifer didn't need any autographs, she already had Nick.
"Nick, that was the sweetest thing anyones ever done for me. " she said as she wrapped her arms around him.
"Thanks. It's the least I could do to show you how much I like you." Nick said shyly.
At that Jennifer could no longer take it, she gave Nick the most passionate kiss she has ever given. Brian saw the two kissing and had to stop them before the other girls noticed.
"Nicky!" he called out. "Nicky!" he called again, this time a bit louder. Nick and Jennifer finally separted. Nick noticed the look on Heathers face. She had seen the whole thing. Nick said he had to go and would see her after the show. Jennifer went over to talk to the other girls who were still in tears or screaming. Heather stepped infront of Jennifer.
"What was that?" she asked is a very snotty tone.
"None of your business," she said as she tryed to walk around her, but Heather blocked her way.
"No, you know, I think it is my business." she said.
"This girl is really pissing me off," Jennifer thought.
"Why do you think it's any of your business?" Jennifer asked.
"I am a fan of them and I think I deserve to know whats going on between you two. Do you know each other or is Nick just this big player who kisses every girl he meets, or it could be that you are just a tramp."
That was the final straw for Jennifer she didn't need this aggrivation, her head ache was coming back and she wanted it to stay away so she could enjoy the night.
"Exuse me. Now i'm going to tell you this and I want you to listen and try to get this through that ugly head of yours. If there is or isn't anything going on between me and Nick it is none of your business. Do you understand or do you need me to tell you again?" Jennifer said just as snotty as Heather.
"No, you don't seem to be understanding me. You better tell me whats going on......now." Heather said this in a forseful tone.
Jennifer had enough of this.
"No ok, now fuck-off," she tried to move out of Heathers way but Heather blocked her and pushed her.
"Spit it out girly, tell me what I want to hear," Heather said with that ugly smile on her face again.
"Don't touch me," Jennifer said this time getting that forseful tone in her voice too.
"What are you gonna do about it?" Heather asked her pushing Jennifer again.
"You don't wanna know, honustly. If I were you, i'd walk away now before you get hurt." Jennifer advised.
"Get hurt, you wish you ugly skank. Just stay the fuck away from MY Nick. That will be the last time you kiss him. I'm gonna get him and take him to my apartment tonight and theres nothing you can do about it." Heather spoke with a tone that finally made Jennifer go over board.
At that moment Nick came running out with his security guard. It was time for Kevins solo. Nick, Brian, Howie and A.J. were all there to see Jennifer when she finally burst.
"What did you say,"Jennifer asked, eyes narrowing.
"You heard me." was Heathers reply. "I'm gonna take his to my apartment tonight, and fuck him."
That was it, Jennifer exploded. She threw the hardest punch she has ever thrown in her whole life. Her punch hit Heather right in the mouth and sent her flying to the ground. Nick and the guys came running over along with Nick's security guard. Jennifer was going back for more with Heather when Nick and Brian grabbed her arms and pulled her back.
"Crazy bitch!" Heather yelled.
"You stay away from Nick, or i'll give you moe of that!!" Jennifer yelled.
The security ran to Heather whos nose was bleeding all over. He called out to another guard who came and helped Heather up and took her away to first aid.
"Jennifer!! What the hell was that?" Nick asked her after Heather left.
"She was mouthing off to me. Calling me a skank and calling you a player, and saying she was gonna fuck you tonight and all this shit.
"Jennifer, Jennifer, calm down. you can't let people like that get to you. You have to ignore them."
"I know, but it felt so good." Jennifer said with an evil smile.
"It was a good punch..."Nick said quietly, "Just don't do it again, please."
"I know I know." She said.
A.J., Brian, and Howie came over and complimented her on the punch. Jennifer calmed down and she went back to her seat to watch the rest of the concert.
