Part 14 Part 14 of "Since Then"
Jennifer loved the rest of the concert. Afterwards, they escaped the building from the back, where there were no fans. Both Jennifer and Nick were exsausted and since they were leaving the next day, they decided to just go straight to sleep. When they got to Jennifers door, Jennifer unlocked it and invited Nick in for a minute. They went in and as Jennifer was changing a big lightning bolt lit up the hotel room. Jennifer screamed. She had been in the bathroom changing by herself.
"Are you ok?" Nick called from on top of Jennifer's bed.
"Ya, i'm fine, it just scared me, thats all. I'm gonna take a quick shower cause I have all this crap in my hair. Are you gonna wait here?" Jennifer asked sticking her head out the bathroom door to look at Nick.
"Yeah, sure, i'll be here when you get out." Nick replied.
Jennifer hoped into the shower and hummed to herself quietly as she recalled a song she had heard on the radio before. When Jennifer was done her shower she put on the pajamas that had been sitting on the bathroom floor from the night before. She opened the door and walked out to find Nick fast asleep on her bed. She smiled to herself and walked over to him. She gently pushed back a piece of hair that had falled across his face. She studied his face, and tryed to figure out what it was that every girl found attractive in him. She tried to find what she found attractive in him, what was making her so feel so nice inside. After staring at him for a minute, she decided that tomorrow, she would ask him out. She knew it was a big step but she had to do it.
"He's all I can think of. He makes me feel so good, so special, I love it. We've been dating, but I want him to be mine, all mine. I have to do it, tomorrow. I will." she thought.
She took the blankets gently from underneath Nick and covered him with them. She then climbed in to the other side of the bed and covered herself with the blankets. She leaned over and gave Nick a little kiss on the check.
"Have a good sleep," she wispered, then rolled over and fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning Jennifer woke up to find Nick had left. She sat up feeling really good. She figured Nick had gone to his room to pack so she went into the bathroom, took a quick shower, got dressed and did her hair and make-up really quickly. Then she started to pack. She had almost all her stuff in her bags when there was a knock on the door. It was Nick. He was holding a paper bag.
"Hey hun, " Jennifer siad leaning in for a little kiss and a hug.
"Me and the guys went to breakfast downstairs, so I thought you'd be a bit hungry." he held up the bag.
"Aww, thanks," she replied with a smile, as she dug into the bag and pulled out a blueberry muffin.
"Thanks Nick." she said again as she walked over to the bed and started eating her muffin.
"We're leaving in about half an hour. Will you be ready by then??" Nick asked her.
"Yep, i'm almost done." Jennifer replied.
"Good. I'm done packing, everyones almost done except Aaron, cause he takes awile to do it and A.J. cause he always buys hats and sunglasses when he goes somewhere so he always runs out of room."
"Cute!" she said with a smile as she took the last bite of her muffin, threw the bag in the garbage can and walked over to Nick.
"Thanks for last night again Nick," she said as she wrapped her arms around Nicks neck. "It was really sweet, and i'm sorry that I punched that girl. She just got REALLY annoying and she was making my head ache come back."
"It's ok," he said with a smile. "You looked so cute. All yelling and super mad. It was a little scary at first though. It didn't seem like you at all. Thats why I got mad, cause I like the way you normally are. I didn't like the violent you. I like the sweet and gentle Jennifer. The way you are now."
Jennifer felt ashamed and happy all at once. She was embarrased and ashamed at what she did, but she was happy about what Nick said to her. She hung her head.
Nick reached out and pulled her head up gently. He brought it close to his and kissed her gently. They broke apart for a minute, looked at each other, smiled and came together again for another kiss. Nick wrapped his arms around Jennifers waist and deepened the kiss.
