Part 17 Part 17 of "Since Then"
"Your a lot better looking in person," Jennifer said to Justin.
"Your not that bad looking yourself." he replied.
"I can't really believe i'm talking to Justin Timberlake. Your such a good singer and all." Jennifer said, not moving her eyes from Justins stare.
"Jennifer, you wanna go out someti..."
"Jennifer, Jennifer, wake up, were here." Jennifer's dream was interupted by Nicks voice.
Jennifer slowly opened her eyes and looked up at Nick.
"Where are we Nick?" she asked sitting up.
"We're at the hotel. We only have a few hours before the sound check." Nick answered.
"Oh," Jennifer said as she stood up and followed Nick off the bus. They were in an underground parking garage. She grogilly followed Nick into a stair case and up 2 flights of stairs. She walked through a long hallway and was handed a key to her room.
"Jenn, we have an hour and a half before we have to go for the sound check, so i'm gonna unpack a bit and get showered, then i'll come get you, in about an hour or so." Nick asked.
"Sure. I'll be ready." Jennifer replied as she gave Nick a little peck on the lips and opened her room door. She walked into her room. This one was a lot nicer than the last. She had a huge livingroom, a small kitchen, a king size bed and a big screen TV. She plopped her bag down at the end of the bed and decided that before she unpacked she would call her parents. She picked up the phone and dialed her parents number, the phone rang 2 times before the answering machine picked up.
"Hi, you've reached 555-7868. We're unable to come to the phone right now, so please leave a message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks. BEEP!!"
"Hi Mom and Dad," Jennifer started. "It's me. I just called to say hi and see what you guys were up to. I'm having lots of fun and i'm bonding with all the guys, especially Nick. He's the best. You'll be hearing more about him later. I'll call back maybe tomorrow or the next day, depending on what were doing. I love you two a lot and I miss you. Talk to you soon. Bye." Jennifer slowly hung up the phone.
"Better start unpacking and deciding on what i'm going to wear today,"Jennifer thought to herself. "I can't believe I get to meet N*SYNC! I love them. And I know I'm going out with Nick right now, Justin and JC are still really hot!! I wonder how i'm going to react. I wonder if they're really that hot. Awww! Tonights gonna rock!!"
Jennifer unpacked all her clothes, took a shower and got ready for the concert. She couldn't wait. She decided that she would curl her hair. She set the curlers and decided on her outfit. She decided on a nice pair of form fitting white Gap khakis and a light blue tanktop with the same blue color sweater over top. She did up one button on the sweater and looked at herself in the mirror. She liked it. The whole outfit showed off her perfectly toned body. She wore 1 inch platform sandles. She took the curlers out of her hair and played with the curls a bit. She put in a little silver clip on each side of her face. The little clips were shaped as butterflies and were very small. She then sprayed her hair with a bit of hairspray so the curls would stay, then she spritzed on a bit of hair shine stuff so the curls looked healthy and shiny. She did her make-up very nicely. She was very happy with the finished look. She then grabbed her black purse. This wasn't the same black purse she had worn last concert. This one was bigger. She was putting some make-up, a hairbrush and a small container of hairspray in her purse just as someone knocked on the door.
"Come in!!" she called. She added the last thing in her purse and looked up to see who it was at the door.
"Hi Nick! " she said smiling brightly. He smiled when he saw how she was dressed.
"You amaze me! Just when I think you look as beautiful as anyone could, you go and prove me wrong." Nick said with a smile.
"Aww, thats sweet Nick." Jennifer said as she wrapped herself around Nick in a big hug. "Are we leaving now?"
"Yup," he said removing himself from Jennifer. "You all ready?"
"Yup, lets go." she said as she grabbed her key off the dresser and followed Nick out the door.
They walked down the same way they had come in hours earlier and loaded onto the bus. The ride was only about 10 minutes. When they got there there were screaming fans but they were blocked back behind baracades. As they got out of the bus, the guys signed a couple autographs, took a couple pictures and then proceeded into the building. When she got in she could hear N*SYNC singing. As she walked further in she could see them dancing. Nick reached over and grabbed her hand as if to make sure, the guys knew she was his. Jennifer ignored the jesture and continued to stare at the guys. They were almost done their song, so when they noticed Jennifer and the others come in, JC held up a hand, as if to say "One sec." They continued dancing. All Jennifer could hear was "cause I want you back." The guys turned around and the music turned off. Then the guys came running over and started saying hi to everyone. Jennifer just kept her eyes on Justin.
"B-rok, wass-up?" Justin asked giving him a partial hug. "Kev! How ya been?? Howie! Hows life?? A.J. Like the tatoo." He was making his way closer and closer to Jennifer.
"Nick, hey man. How ya been?" Justin asked as he extended a hand and Nick let go of Jennifers and shook it.
"Hey who's this?" Justin asked as he made eye contact with Jennifer. Jennifer smiled at Justin and extended her hand.
"Hi, i'm Jennifer." Justin took it and kissed the top of her hand.
"I'm Justin," he said as he let her hand go. "What brings you here?" he asked not breaking the stare they were sharing.
"She's my girlfriend," Nick added kinda rudly. He then slipped his arm around Jennifers shoulder as if to show that it was true. Jennifer just looked up at him and gave him a funny look.
"How long have you two been going out?" Justin asked curiously.
"Only a couple days," Jennifer said. She was about to explain the whole story when A.J. called out Nick's name.
"What?" Nick yelled back.
"We gotta go for our sound check," A.J. replied.
"Jenn, I gotta go. Umm, you gonna wait here?" Nick asked.
"I guess..." she started but Justin interupted her.
"Hey, I was just about to go to get something to drink, wanna come?" Justin asked.
"Sure,"Jennifer replied. "I'll see you in a bit Nick," Jenn said as she kissed Nick on the cheek. "Have fun, hun."
"Ok, Nick said slowly eyeing Justin. "I'll be done soon."
"See ya Nick, " Justin replied as he took Jennifer's arm and put it in his.
Nick watched the two walk off arm in arm. He sighed and then joined the others.
