Part 4 Part 4 of "Since Then"
" Here we are," Nick announced.
"Wow!" Jennifer said as she looked up at the tall building.
"Mark!" Nick said as he stepped out of the limo, "Can you get her stuff?"
"Sure Nick," The tall man said as he opened the trunk. "What room?"
"Ahh, 371. I think, yep, that's it." Nick replied as he helped Jennifer out of the limo.
"Thank-you" she said.
As they were walking towards the building door, a girl about 8 or 9 years old ran up to the two.
"Excuse me. Are you Nick Carter?" she asked him nervously.
"Yes I am," he said casually.
"Can I have you autograph?" the girl asked him holding out a piece of paper and a pen.
"Sure, what's you name?" he asked.
"Christie," she replied.
"Ok," Nick said as he began to scribble something onto the piece of paper and then handed it back to the girl.
"Thanks so much!" she said.
"Your welcome, bye!" Nick replied.
"Bye!" she cried as she ran away.
"Does that always happen to you?" Jennifer asked Nick.
"Sometimes," he replied as he stepped into the hotel and led the way to the elevator.
"As the elevator doors opened and the two got in, Jennifer confessed something to Nick. "Nick, I'm really nervous."
"About what?" Nick replied as he turned to face Jennifer.
"I dunno. What if the guys don't like me? What if your mom doesn't like me? What if..."
"Jen, don't worry," Nick said as he took her hand. "They'll love you."v Jennifer got chills when Nick took her hand. "What's happening here?" Jennifer thought to herself.
As the elevator door opened Nick and Jennifer were still holding hands. Nick led her down the long hallway and stopped in front of room 371."This is your room," he said pointing at the door. He then pointed at the door across the hallway, "That's Brain's room," then he pointed to the door next to her own, "This is mine. There's connecting doors so if you need anything you can just knock on my door."
"Ok," she replied nervously.
"Jennifer. Don't be nervous. It'll be O.K. Lets go meet the guys, you ready?" he asked.
"I guess. How do I look?"
Nick turned a bit, looked at her and replied "Beautiful."
"Thanks." she replied again getting chills.
Nick walked up to room 374 and knock on the door.
"Deep breath Jennifer, your about to meet the Backstreet Boys," Jennifer thought to herself.
