Headline News: SP to release Adore documentary; Interview with James Iha

According to the latest news from Siva, the Smashing Pumpkins are set to release a documentary, not yet named, which was shot during the entire course of their Adore tour. This video was filmed over 5 months of the recording and tour, and will be their first home video release since Vieuphoria (1994). The director of the film was Jesse Ignjatovic, an MTV producer who took a leave of absence to travel with and interview the band.

Jimmy is Re-Hired

According to SP news sources, Jimmy Chamberlin was re-hired to the Pumpkins and is currently working on the new album with them in Chicago. For the newer fans, let me remind you that Jimmy was the long-time drummer for SP who was fired after being arrested on drug possession charges related to the death of touring keyboardist Jonathan Melvoin. Jimmy spent time in rehab and has reportedly cleaned up his act. "Sources close to the band say that Chamberlin has overcome his own addiction problems, and that his presence has re-energized the group, especially leader, Billy Corgan." ~From netphoria.org.

New Singles

The Pumpkins are supposed to release Crestfallen, To Sheila, and Daphne Descends as singles. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any dates for these releases. If anyone has info on this, please contact me and I will post it here. Thanks!
