Fiscal problems are temporarily interrupting the Backstreet Boys plans to donate $75,000 to the Columbine College Fund, which was to have provided scholarships to student survivors of the massacre at Columbine High School in April.

The Columbine College Fund is about to fold because of a lack of funds, as the San Francisco-based non-profit organization has only received $800 in donations so far, according to the Associated Press.

The Backstreet Boys wanted to make the $75,000 donation after discovering that 1,200 tickets to its Halloween show at Denver's Pepsi Center were scalped for $110 a piece, an almost 200 percent markup from the tickets' $38.50 face value.

House Of Blues, the promoter charged by the boy band to make the $75,000 donation, is currently in search of another organization to fund and wants to make sure that the money will go to benefit students at Columbine High School.-- MTV.com

APRIL 1999

thanks to Emma: "COMING HOME" video came out in stores today (04-27-99). It includes the single for "I Want It That Way" and also previews of 4 more songs, Larger Than Life, Don't Want You Back, Don't Wanna Lose You Now, and It's Gotta Be You.

The boys will be in an hour-long Disney Channel special "Backstreet Boys In Concert." This will be aired on July 10

"I Want It That Way" video was filmed in Los Angeles (also in Los Angeles International Airport). It was directed by Wayne Isham "The Hardest Thing" for 98 Degrees and Ricky Martin's "Livin La Vida Loca" (?).

Home Video "Live In Orlando" will be released this April 27
