A protégée of legendary music icon Quincy Jones, Tamia was first introduced as a vocalist on Jones’ blockbuster album Q’s Jook Joint with the tune You Put A Move On My Heart. The song received a Grammy nomination this year as well as her duet Slow Jams with hitmaking great Babyface. Her collaboration with divas Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan and Brandy on the song Missing You, which appeared on the soundtrack of the movie Set It off was the third song to pick up a Grammy nomination this year. Currently, Tamia is enjoying the success of her latest song Make Tonight Beautiful featured on the sountrack of the movie Speed 2: Cruise Control, in which she makes an appearance.
