EDGEFEST 1998= DOWNERS
102.1 the edge (The founders of edgefest) is the best *alternative* radio station. If you live in Toronto, you know what I'm talking about. Alan Cross kicks ass!!!
10. 2+ hour line to get in the park AFTER the gates had opened
9. Port-o-lets
8. Bathroom line ups and lack of toilet paper
7. Spending outragious prices on water and food
6. Sunburns
5. people body surfing and kicking you in the head or landing on it
4. Seeing the lead singer from Green Day strip down to his Cheetah print underwear after waiting 40 minutes for them to finally take the stage
3. People throwing full bottles of Pepsi behind them in the mosh pit and having them hit you or the person beside you in the head, dreanching you in pepsi
2. Stupid teeny boppers trying to be cool who you just want to punch and when people go on their friends shoulders two feet in front of you, blocking the whole stage who you also want to punch or when your beside some fat ugly guy in the most pit who you also want to punch
1. Tall people in the mosh pit (need i say more??)

but, I can't say it was all bad. There were also some good points to the day:
10. Seeing Edwin from I mother earth
9. Seeing other people burn while you're safe in your 30 sunblock (hahaha!)
8. Seeing great CANADIAN bands
7. Feeling the constant bass in you for 8 hours straight
6. Not being able to hear clearly the next day
5. Meeting cool people in the bathroom lines
4. Being closer to the bands than you ever would be at a concert with seats
3. That natural "high" that always comes and you dont know weather it's because of the fumes in the air or because you're just having fun.......
2. Moshing beside some really hot guy!
1. Knowing that Billy Joe will have to get off the stage at some point and put on some pants

10. Courtney Love's bitchy attutide and feeling herself off on stage
9. The freezing cold rain, thunder and lightning
8. People throwing mud in front of them in the mosh pit
7. Seeing your nails turn purple from the cold
6. Port-o-lets
5. Crappy bands
4. The mud and lightning
3. When REALLY fat people try to crowd surf (GIVE IT UP! THIS IS THE 7TH TIME YOU TRIED! NO ONE CAN SUPPORT YOU!)
2. Someone kicking me in the back continuosly while on her friends shoulders to get a better look at Courtney love
1. Waiting at the end to see if anything cool would happen during Hole's performance (Edwin on stage last year during The Tea Party's performance) and having to listen to her crap

6. Seeing all the people who are high when it was over
5. The 30 minute line to get in
4. The bass
3. Seeing Edwin live
2. Making fun of Courtney Love

BAD
10. The traffic getting up
9. Having to drive home with Paolo beside me going crazy as I was trying to find out if we were even on the RIGHT highway
8. Assholes in the mosh pit
7. Food Prices and uncooked food
6. The pockets that happen in the mosh pit of guys trying to kill each other and you're caught on the edge of it
5. Body surfers who don't WAIT THEIR TURN so right over your head are about 4 people trying to get up
4. The chart tent closing early, and tea party not signing autographs :-(
3. Having to miss Creed to beat traffic
2. Not being able to find people
1. Having to wait for your friends after you got seperated

4. Seeing your friends on the grounds (Kevin, Miron, Alex) and parking beside Alex by pure chance
3. The cool people we met in the parking lot

well I guess that's it.... yes if you actually read all that crap than man you must be either a loser or my friend so if you did thanks! if not well than SCREW YOU! and I know you can't get upset cause you're not reading this right now cause you didn't read any part of this.. or maybe you skimmed it and saw this part at the bottom and read it, in which cause I'm sorry you're still cool but lazy cause you didn't read my very good breakdown of edgefest shame on you! shame!
