Back ARVE HEIMDAL
Arve was born in Gjövik/Norway, 28 January 1971. Because his father played tuba in an orchestra, he got introduced to music at an early age. Obviously the tuba is a couple of sizes to big for a kid, so he found the snaredrum more his thing. This later developed into a full drumkit, and he organised his first rock bands while in elementary school, though he also joined the orchestra once in a while.
In private, Arve is down to earth and steady. He's calm and relaxed, and does healthy activities such as fitness training and offroad biking. He is the total opposite when in his party mood. The quite guy turns into an animal, kind of like his forefathers - the Vikings. For this reason, the band always comes back from a tour with lots of good stories. He's fascinated by dogs, and used to have a Rottweiler and an Akita-Inu. Unfortunately both dogs passed away around Christmas. He's also passionate about fast cars, and always takes good care of his Opel Monza.
INGAR AMLIEN
Ingar was born in Gjövik/Norway, 8 September 1963. Raised in Eina, his music career started in a school orchestra, playing flute and horn. He started to play guitar in the late seventies, but he soon found the bass guitar more relevant to his way of expressing himself. In 1979 he formed the band „Roquefire" together with Ronni Le Tekro (TNT), and later recorded with bands like „018", „Dark Side" and „One 2 Many".
Ingar is a philosopher, and might be thought of as the darker side of Conception. He’s very spiritual, and does often perform meditative activities. Being very fond of literature, he’s constantly reading books concerning different topics. He also likes to shut himself off from the world to do his oil paintings - something he started a couple of years ago.
ROY KHAN
(Full name: Roy Sætre Khantatat)
Roy was born in Elverum/Norway, 14 March 1970. Being in love with music from the cradle, Roy planned to study opera and classical music. But after two years in a music school doing classical vocal training, he drifted into rock. He broke off his studies, and joined Conception in 1991.
Roy can easily be described as a thinker and a dreamer with strong romantic tendencies. He’s got a wide range of interests, and he loves wildlife and nature in particular. He never hesitates to join in discussions, and he’s got very strong convictions on some topics. Literature is also something Roy likes to occupy himself with, which also influences his lyrics.
TORE ØSTBY
Tore was born in Raufoss/Norway, 8 April 1972. From a musical home, Tore started playing the piano at an early age. His first stage performance was however as a singer, only two and a half years old, at his mother’s school’s Christmas show. A couple of years into elementary school, he discovered the joy of rock music, dropping the piano for the guitar. After three years in a music highschool, he joined the band "Redrum", soon to form Conception.
Being constantly haunted by music, Tore loves the mountains and the wild open spaces to get piece of mind and collect new energy. He might "leave" the planet, but he always coming back to earth to land on both feet. With a very ambitious mind, he believes in his job. He’s also very much into games, and does usually never says no to a good party.
