(Rerecorded and rereleased on Vestige of Glory.)
Broken lives surrounding us, apathy impounding us. This nation's got one heck of a problem, but still the dollar bill reads "In God We Trust". The American dream is a national lie. Embodied by the want to satisfy the craving of a sinner, the lust of his eyes, forsaking the fact that it was Christ who died. It's wishful thinking, in a world gone wrong.
Embattled by sin, the heartbreak goes on. Barely children, they've suffered so much. Now I see, all pain withers with your touch. This sorrow rips at my soul, and I don't understand, I can't even know.
