Speedy D. News

December 20, 1997--What's up? We're on a little Christmas break, as far as shows go...we won't be playing again until January, when there will be a string of shows with One:21 while they're back from college. For anyone who's wondering, the CD is available now from Sofa, see the merchandise page for details. We're planning on going in the studio pretty soon to record a new song for the Sofa Records compilation, most likely a new tune called "the calm before." We're also planning on a new seven inch in the near future, since we have a handful of new songs. Maybe we'll get the lyrics up on the lyric page soon. Today Cliff and I visited Jesse from Pink Daffodils, who broke both his legs in a car accident. He is in good spirits and seems to be recovering nicely. We capped the evening off at the Blue Fountain Diner with Ed and Mike from Bazhena, and we ran into some other kids . . . fun, fun, fun...adam

January 20th, 1998--We've been pretty busy for the last two weeks, playing at a Rock for Life Benefit in East Stroudsburg on the 10th...there were a ton of bands...highlights such as Somerset, Redy-Serve, and Ashbury For knocked the crowd out...We played that night at the Break-Thru Cafe in Southampton with One:21, and they rocked hard...one of the best local shows in a while. One:21's full length album is done, and it rules. They're still looking for a label to release it. We spent the a few nights the week of the 11th at Skylight Studio recording three new songs...We're going in to mix this week. Included is the song for the Sofa Records compilation that should be out soon. Last weekend we played in Waynesboro, PA with Seven Knots Crain and One:21...and Saturday we played with Huntingtons and Gransane at the Soulhouse in MD. We had to drive home with the windows open during some kind of snowstorm because the windshield in Cliff's car gets fogged up otherwise... and it was really, really cold...adam

June 29, 1998--We just wanted to thank everyone who came to the shows on our tour and made them such a success. We're not sure exactly what the future holds for the band at this point. Adam just got done a six month stint playing guitar for the Huntingtons(a rad band, check them out) and is planning on going to college in California. Justin's family is moving to Arizona and taking him with them, and Cliff is staying in Pennsylvania and going to college near Philadelphia. We plan on trying to tour next summer at some point with Huntingtons or One:21. We are also going to attempt another cd. For those of you who need a new release of some kind to hold you over, there is a bootleg cassette available of one of the shows on tour. It sounds pretty decent, and if you want it, send three bucks cash(or a blank tape and $1) to: Speedy Delivery 1739 Third St. Langhorne, PA 19047. Keep us in your prayers and remember to rock on. til later...adam delivery

August 4, 1998--The band is going on hiatus indefinitely pending Adam and Justin's move to Arizona August 17th. We played our semi-official last show for now July 24th with Pink Daffodils in Maryland. We plan on recording our unreleased songs and putting them out as a seven inch if possible in the future. On a more personal note, Cliff will be attending West Chester University in the fall and can be reached at Samwisei@aol.com. Adam will start playing guitar for Squad Five-O in January and can still be reached at SpeedyCore@aol.com. Justin will go to high school in the Phoenix area and probably try to play in a band down there. The three of us plan on playing together again some day in one form or another, so stay in touch. God Bless, Adam
