words from SIS
To clear up the endless rumours circulating on the internet etc, please be assured that no one is leaving the band.

The true story is that Neil fell ill last week, just before the band were due to leave for madrid. rather than cancel the gig, the band decided to go ahead and play the Madrid and paris shows with Alex from strangelove as a last minute stand-in, to allow Neil some rest in time for last night's show at Shepherd's Bush.

Alex, a long term friend of the band, had previously played with suede last month when neil was unable to play an mtv show in Milan.

As those of you who made it to the Shepherd's Bush Empire last night will know, Neil was back on stage with the rest of the band for one of their best gigs so far. All five members of suede also attended the aftershow party, mingling with friends and fans to celebrate the album's new entry at the top of the charts.

Brett, Simon, Mat, Richard and Neil are recording "Later with Jools Holland" tomorrow which you can see on BBC2 on Friday evening

As always, unless you hear it from an official source, please treat any suede "news" with caution

thanks for your continued support.

What a surprise! The five white "boys" are being shown on the free
poster of Sci Fi Lullabies(cos originally we thought that it will only
be a poster with the cover art)! And it is incredibly beautiful! Back to
the B-side album, I've heard that all the stock in some of the record
stores here were sold out just in ONE DAY! It's really really
crazy......

Si-Fi Lullabies will be release here in Hong Kong today, with a free poster
with each purchase. Guess it's the one with the cover art which suite the album title,
well done Brett & Peter Saville!
BTW, the release day in US has been pulled back to 4/11, and the album will not be issued in vinyl format due to technical problems.

News ~~ 1/10/97

A 32 page full color booklet of lyrics will be included with each CD set
All tracks are the original b-side recordings, save for 'Europe Is Our
Playground' which has been newly recorded to more resemble the live version.
SCI-FI LULLABIES will most likely *not* be available on vinyl, and Columbia
in the States currently plan to have a domestic, "London Suede" version of
the compilation available in the US on October 28th.
