OCTOBER 2000

MUMBO JUMBO SCREENINGS

This month: the chance to see the new British comedy MUMBO JUMBO at two special screenings to be held in London on Tuesday 24 October and Wednesday 25 October.

Be among the first to see this hilarious new comedy from director Stephen Cookson. The most unusual comedy fairytale since Time Bandits, Mumbo Jumbo boasts the same technical crew (editor, composer, line producer, sound designer and 2nd unit director) as Time Bandits, Brazil and the whole Python movie series!

Set on the fairy-tale island of Sinmouth, it follows the adventures of Thomas Doubting [Jamie Walters], a down-on-his-luck New York musician who finds himself on a quest to rescue the missing Princess Vanilla [Melinda Messenger]. Along the way, he's helped and hindered by the island's oddball inhabitants as he prepares to make good a centuries old prophecy. But who is abducting the good people of Sinmouth? And who - or what - is the Mumbo Jumbo?

As well as a top-notch production team, the film boasts a great British cast to die for:

Richard O'Brien [Rocky Horror]
Brian Blessed [Star Wars: The Phantom Menace]
Joss Ackland [Lethal Weapon 2, The Hunt For Red October]
Jamie Walters [Beverly Hills 90210]
John Inman [Are You Being Served]
Sylvester McCoy [Doctor Who]
Brian Murphy [George and Mildred, Mrs Merton]
and Melinda Messenger!

A great film for all the family (kid's especially will love this!), you can be among the first to see Mumbo Jumbo at these special sneak previews. Cast members will be in attendance on both days and to claim your free tickets, simply send an e-mail stating which date you'd prefer, how many tickets you want and your e-mail address.

MAIL FOR YOUR FREE TICKETS!

The screenings will be held at:

UGC Trocadero, London - Tuesday 24th October 2000 at 15:00
Odeon Mezzanine, London - Wednesday 25th October 2000 at 15:00

Tickets are free and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All the film-makers ask is that you come along, have a good time and fill in a short questionnaire about the film that will be handed out at the screening.
