Club Lua Picture Index
The London Ballroom is (actually, was) a gothic night at Club Lua on Espaniola Way in South Beach. It was "okay," as a friend put it,
"More of a South-Beach-in-Black, than a goth club."
Two friends and I decided to check out their first fetish night, and while rather disappointed in the whole ordeal (except that I got to volunteer to try this very cool electro-zapper thing on my skin...felt better than it sounds) but had a great time dressing up for it.
****In December of 2000, our friends Bridget and Jose were in a fatal car accident. My love and prayers go out to the rest of their friends and family. Bridget and Jose were some of the very first people who took me to The Kitchen Club and introduced me to quite a bit of my current musical tastes. Bridget was a wonderful and twisted artist and clothing designer who's fashion designs turned heads at South Florida fashions shows, ManRay and Fetish Factory Fetish Nights, and the store Mosh Pitt. She was in her graduating year at Savannah College of Art and Desgin. I love them and miss them both terribly.
This is Bridget, I, and Livvy all ready to
go to the club. My mom came out of her bedroom as we werer posing, took one look at us, mumbled "Where did I go wrong?" and shuffled back into her bedroom....hehehehe.
This is us three again being rather silly.
This is Livvy chatting on the phone...isn't
she cute in her breastplate (yes, it's a real breastplate that she uses
for fighting in the SCA with)
