Deathpoem's Web of Tangled Thoughts - Vegan and Vegetarian Recipes Index
Vegan and Vegetarian Recipe Index
Yes, your beloved Somber is a vegetarian. I became at about age 13 after having read about the cruelties involved in the meat manufacturing process. I'm interested in eventually making my way to veterinarian school, and in the hippocratic spirit of alleviating suffering of our animal-friends, I didn't want to sidewise inflict any...especially not be something as silly as burger consumption. So, I dropped off my meat intake until I was a veggie, an then continued down the track towards veganism.
I was hardcore vegan (no leather, no wool, no dairy, no rennet, no eggs, no honey, no gelatin, no lanolin, etc.) for about three years and then became vegetarian again. The true only reason I went back was out of convenience's sake. I wish our country was a bit more receptive to the vegan ideal as the vegetarian one is becoming more and more accepted. If you have the capabilities to always cook for yourself, and almost never plan on dining out (unless you really love a side salad), then you can become vegan. Otherwise, it's next to impossible.
I've included recipes on this page that I've found to be both deliciously vegan and/or vegetarian. If the recipe is vegan, it will not even include refined white sugar as that's technically not even vegetarian! (although most vegetarians/vegans will consume it anyhow). Believe it or not, there are some really, really yummy things to eat out there that aren't rabbit food.
Recipes soon to follow!
More to come, soon. =)
Alternative Recipies, perhaps?
