| I write this statement because the way this so-called scene if we still can speak of a scene -is heading to, is getting worse every day. First, I want to have a word about people who are bothered with bands who put out CD's. First of all, we have put out this CD for a quite cheap price and we have used the total playing time of this CD to put about 70-75 minutes on. "Putting out a CD is commercial business" is what some of them say, because it is part of some multinational corporation. But about vinyl, who has the commercial monopoly on those products ? This is a good point to think about before accusing another CD-band of commercial activities ! ! There are too many people in this scene who try to hang out the "active guy/girl " but who are actually destroying the scene with their "know it all better" crap. A lot of these people have been our friends in the past, they came to our gigs, supported us and helped us to build an active and strong scene, based upon mutual respect, but now they have become those "know it all better" punks with a huge lack of respect. The reason why they got such an attitude, is a big question-mark for me. I just want to let them know that, before changing something in this scene (or even in this world), they have to do something about their attitude. It's really boring to go to gigs and always meet some of them, while they expect YOU to listen to them, but do NOT expect that they will listen to you. If you really want to build a good,strong and healthy scene, then first think before you really want to act. Stop your pathetic preaching about what you must do, what you must wear, and what kind of music you have to listen to, to be part of the scene. It's all in your head and not in your outfit, remember that ! ! ! Death metal was quite refreshing for me in the early days when I was listening to punk, hardcore or whatever. But yes, it expanded rapidly and some of these bands became very well-known. These days, death metal is still part of the underground. Nowadays some pathetic posers with carnival faces and nazi-signs think that black metal rules in today metal-scene, but the first wave of black metal had nothing to do with nazi-ideologies, and at those days, black metal was a still obscure and hated music (not like now when it is generally accepted). And I still have respect for black metal-bands who are really cool persons and who have nothing to do with nazi-statements. Today there is still a good and active Death metal scene and I hope it will stay this way. Now something about playing in a band, which is not that easy as some people might think. We describe our music as Mince core. Well, on this CD, you'll find some songs which are totally different from our other material. In the future of AG, you will get to hear more songs like this, because we are busy with experimenting with different kind of sounds, noises...This is not the change to a completely different style, but it's just a way to express our feelings about some things captured in our minds. If people ask us why we do this, we can only say "WE DO WHAT WE WANT". We don't play Mince core to give it a name, but because it's a part of our lives. A musician can only makes his/her work follow the things that go around in his/her mind. In my opinion, it's clear enough, if it's HC, PUNK, NOISE, DEATH METAL '70 ROCK or whatever, just do what you have to do. Express yourself, smash your lack of personality and do the things you really wanna do, just be yourself and don't take shit from people who want to take control over your lives and who wants to manipulate you. As we all know, in Belgium (and I guess in the rest of the world too), you're obliged to get a job to earn money, because living from the band you play in is impossible. For that reason, I work in the steel-industry and I've learned quite a lot about how this system works. For the money I get, I can't live myself. And everyday, I see these rich bastards walking in front of me refusing to speak with me. Just because they are lazy, capitalist shitheads, driving with big expensive cars, spending money on useless things, going to 5 stars-restaurants to get a big fat rotten steak. They don't give a shit about you because they have the power to unemploy you whenever you speak up for your rights. They earn enough money to feed over 100 people a day in the third-world countries, but they choose to be blind concerning this. Their thoughts and actions are selfish as hell, and still we have to listen to this kind of people from birth to death. That gives a feeling of being imprisoned in your own life. This is called sheer capitalism and it doesn't work for me. I have hated it and I always will. Don't let these capitalist pigs get control over you. DESTROY CAPITALISM AND LET THESE PIGS PAY THE DEBTS AND TAXES. TAKE BACK YOUR OWN LIFE ! |
