Thanks to Monique for permission to print her account of two Bush
gigs in Holland: Feb 27/97 at MCV, Utrecht & Feb 28/97, Martinhal,
Groningen. The set list may give a hint of what to expect Stateside.
I saw Bush last night and the concert was great and the guys are very sweet.
My friends and I waited for them at the stage door 'cause I really wanted to
know when Robin's daughter was born (I knew she was born around the same
time as my son). When they came out (after about an hour and a half) Dave came
out first and
signed my booklet of RBSC (all four of them signed the 16stone booklet in
1995). He was in a bit of a hurry, but I got the chance to tell him my son's
second name was Dave as well. Then Nigel came out and signed my booklet
as well, we talked a bit about the mailinglist and a few other little things
(that won't kill, like his marriage):)
When Gavin came out he said "you're all still here, we must have been inside
for hours." While the other girls (about 9) were catching their breath and
staring at Gavin, I said "yep, and we're very cold now". Then he hugged me
and smiled:) We talked a bit and then Robin came out. Like I told you I was
waiting for Robin so while all the other girls were crowding Gavin, I talked
with Robin. He's very sweet and when I asked him about pictures of his baby
girl, he went through a lot of trouble (trying to get his bag) to show me
pictures of her: ) She's a very pretty baby and there's really no doubt he's
her father: ) She was born on October 15, so she's 16 days older than my son.
Then some other girls wanted Robin's autograph and he gave them. So I turned
around and Gavin
was still right behind me. I've talked with him for about 5 minutes, about
music (of course) and about tomorrow. They will be playing in Groningen, but
I can't go (birthday party:( ). So he gave backstage-passes to two of my
friends who do go tomorrow (lucky them).
It was nice of him to offer backstage-passes, wasn't it? He's just a very
sweet guy:)
This evening Bush played in Groningen (Martinihal) and it was broadcast
live on the Dutch Radio : ) And they were great-as always : )
