VANCOUVER HAD IT GOIN' ON!

I have to start by saying this was one of the most incredible concerts I've ever been to! My friends and I arrived at the stadium early so we wouldn't have to be trampled by the hoards of fans once the doors opened. Finally, after waiting for what seemed like hours, we were let in. We ran down to our seats to check out the kinda view we would have of the guys on stage. We were not disappointed! Row 3 on the floor! Soon, the opening act came on stage. I felt kinda bad for him 'cause everyone just kept chanting "BACKSTREET" everytime he finished one of his songs. I can't really blame anyone though......the boys were so close to coming on stage. We could all feel the excitment!

Then the moment we had all been waiting for for months! A local DJ came on stage and all he had to say was "Let's give the Backstreet Boys a warm Vancouver welcome!" and the entire stadium erupted! It was incredible! Like the other Canadian BSB concerts, they opened with incredibly adorable baby pics of the guys (awwwwwww!) and this eerie music echoing throughout G.M Place. It felt totally dramatic and it made your heart thump twice as fast (if that was even possible!). Suddenly, the lights dimmed and a row of spotlights above the stage brightned. 5 silhouettes emerged from behind the stage to the music for "Let's Have a Party."

They first came out in these very cute racing type outfits. They changed out of thoses pretty quickly though (they must of been awfully hot!) and into the sexy velvet numbers they wore for their solo pieces. I must say, Howie looks good in purple, and of course, half way through his song Howie was flexing his bare abs for the whole crowd. One of the many highlights of my evening :)

For all you who have been to a BSB concert, I needn't explain the rest of the concert for you. Almost everything was the same, except for little changes here and there. Also, I was lucky enough to be able to go backstage with my bestfriend and 2 other girls we didn't know, to meet the boys face-to-face. It was only us, the boys and some security gaurds. It was nice to be able to talk to them like normal people without hundreds of other fans around. I will also be posting pics of that incredible enounter on my web page, (a href="http://www.oocities.org/Hollywood/Lot/4121 really soon.

We talked to Nick first, he shook our hands and told us that the guy (our friend) that had introduced us, told him how much we had wanted to meet the Backstreet Boys. Nick was really sweet. Then we talked to AJ for awhile about the concert and Vancouver and stuff. Then, out came HOWIE!!!! I was dying (inside only, of course) I talked to him alot about what they had been doing here in our city and THEN I said something about a picture and he was like "yeah, NO PROB...but I have alot of stuff in my hands..." Ya see, he was carrying all the stuff that belonged to him that he used in the concert. I was like "Oh, thats alright" I was disappointed...I thought I wasn't going to capture my glorious moment with Howie on film. :( But then he was like "Wait a minute..." He shuffled everything around and tryed to hold it with one hand just so he could put his arm around me!! Needless to say, I got THAT on film!

It was the best! While this was happening, my friend was chatting up a storm with Brian (we got a pic with him, too) and Brian was doing his patented Donald Duck impression. Too cute! We also talked to Kev, who stayed off the bus when they guys left cause he wanted to thank the crew again. How nice!

The Backstreet Boys are one of the coolest, sweetest groups of guys you could ever meet and I hope one day I'll get to see them again.

Vancouver misses them already!....me too....
