The boys put on a tremendous show at GM Place on Saturday April 5th. With just a single word, any one of the BSB's could make this crowd go wild. No one seems to believe that the very talented boys have managed to get a 90-minute show out of two hit singles and one hot album. Many people wonder how they pull it off with such competition. It helps that over 8000 screaming, hysterical fans will accept anything that their favorite all time idols do. They even loved the rudimentary drum solo by Nick and the super sweet ballad by Brian. Nothing could stop me from screaming, or anyone else for that matter. Well, maybe when the boys stopped to thank us for coming or to make a little speech. Yet, even when most of the crowd was near silence, we still could hear a few "NICK I LOVE YOU's!!!"

But what puts the extra "umph" in the show, I think, is the way that they put a spotlight on each B-Streeter. So, we get the opening band overture-everyone is STILL waiting! And then a pumped up dance routine-that REALLY got the crowd going! Followed by some short "thank you's" with an intimate acappella segment. It was great and romantic, but the boys dressed in plasticky overalls and jackets that looked as though they were ready to undertake somekind of science experiment.

Later, the group dressed in sexy yet casual velvet suits, each had solo's...singing other people's music! Kevin, dressed in blue, covered a Brian McKnight song. Nick, dressed in green (with a VERY cute paper-boy hat I must add), sang a slow, sweet medley by Journey. The song "Open Arms" had so much emotion in it that it almost made us cry.

As I said before, B-Rok dressed in a messed up suit and tie, belted out a sappy, over-ripe ballad that slightly depressed me. A.J. got down and NASTY when he sang The Commodores' Brickhouse. With his brimmed hat, red velvet suit and silver plated cane, he showed no bare chest but still made my heart throb. Howie, the only one to show some skin, looks like he's been working on those stripping moves. Just when I thought I couldn't scream any louder, he ripped open his purple velvet jacket during Betcha By Golly Wow by The Artist. Then we got a glimpse of Kevin and Nick while Nick played the drums, Kevin played the piano, and the two of them put on a tremendous duet for us. They gave Howie, Brian and A.J. a break while they performed Elton Johns' Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

All in all, the boys were working up to Get Down and We've Got It Goin' On. By now the crowd was more than wild and still screaming madly. The boys said 'goodnight' and everyone started to leave, until they came out in our Grizzlies jerseys and gave us their encore. How could we leave without hearing Quit Playin' Games (With My Heart)? An excellent concert, wholesome, and not a naughty word uttered all night!
