PLOT: Romeo Montague (Sergio Neglia) and Juliet Capulet (Camcie Bishop) fall in love despite the feuding between their families. A ballet, based on a Shakespearian tragedy.

HISTORY: By the end of my December 1997 "Nutcracker" performances, I had been asked to dance in their February 1998 ballet version of "Romeo and Juliet."
Appearing in this show with me are Jeff Spencer, Darcy Jo Martin, and Eric Giancoli, who appeared with me in the CCC play version of "Romeo" a year earlier (Rafael also did some choreography in that production). Also appearing is Clare Reidy, who directed the same CCC version.
What appealed to me about doing this version of "Romeo" is that, unlike in the CCC version, I actually get to dance in the party scene! But more exciting was that, for the first time ever, I got to swordfight!
I also had two wives--Stephanie Washburn, who had been in the previous two "Nutcrackers" with me, and Kathy Gill, who was directing me in "Noises Off".
And to top it all off, the show also landed my swordfightin' face in the local newspaper (a big color semi-group photo in The Leader) and on local TV news (an entire minute of rehearsals shown on WETM-18)--both on the same day!
