PLOT: The planet Earth is invaded by aliens, as an astronomer (Ray Defendorf) witnesses the devastation firsthand. A science fiction radio drama.
HISTORY: Since I was already doing several other shows during October and November, I waited until auditions were over before inquiring about KLP's 70th Anniversary recreation of CBS radio's original "War of the Worlds" broadcast. This way, I wasn't taking a role from anybody who had done fewer shows than me that year. As luck would have it, Gary was still looking for someone to play the mysterious stranger in Act Two. Given the minimal rehearsals needed for the show, and since I had nothing planned yet for Halloween (and since last Halloween was so uneventful), I decided to go for it.
