08-14-97 - Woo Hoo...more talks of KoRn/Prodigy collaboration.....
Well here it is : straight from ATN (Addicted To Noise)....
Prodigy's Liam Howlett said that he thought it would be interesting to work with a band like....KoRn. and that with him working with them they would turn out some kind of (and I quote) "Extreme sort of electronic music with a groove, metal, sort of heavy sound" but anyway...thats all I have to say and thats all you really have to know for now...but anyway read the whole thing (click here) if you are really interested.

08-14-97 - KoRn featured in the September issue of Alternative Press...BIGG ARTICLE
Hey guys...have fun with this one...it has KoRn talking about everything that you have ever known about them and more...I mean I didn't even get to talk to them this much backstage...but here are some highlights:
"David (on
the new album): "We're gonna stay in the studio until we
have
an album full of material where we can say, 'This is the bomb!'
We're
gonna stuff it with the phattest grooves, the heaviest shit ever.
Fuck
it-fuck radio, fuck everything-we're just gonna put out the
coolest,
heaviest thing we can."
David (on the success of the first two albums): "I'd sat MTV
didn't do
shit for us, and I'd say radio only did a little bit... It was
just all
grass-roots, word-of-mouth shit through touring. We remained true
we're
not really in the mainstream, or the mainstream-alternative or
whatever. A lot of the fans dig us because we're not like one of
those
bands... We tried to get MTV to help us, we tried to get radio to
play
us, and when they wouldn't, we still managed to keep selling
records and
getting bigger. Even though it'd be so much easier just to have a
hit.
But I'd say 80 percent of our fans know the whole album, they
don't care
about the 'cool' song on the radio. So they're fans of the
band-and
they're a lot more fanatical."
The article also talks about the usual shit--Jonathan's job as an
autopsy assistant, his "HIV" tattoo, and his fucked-up
childhood, all
the stuff we've heard before. It's a good article, though. It's
got a
quote from Munky about crying after shows. It's a good insightful
article. I would recommend it for KoRn fans."
I'd Like to thank Jeremy Pettibon for typing this up for me....I really appreciate it.. ;)
