Science Club Traditions
| Here at the MHS Science Club we have alot of traditions that we do every year. One of the most important is PEZ. We love PEZ. The whole thing got started when I was in the seventh grade (I'm a sophomore now). We were going to regional Science Olympiad the first time (it was postponed due to a blizzard),and it was Michelle Wirtz's birthday. She was on the team that year, but she quit. Anyway, as a birthday gift to her, Mrs. Kaip gave her and everyone else a PEZ despenser and some PEZ candy. We loved the little things. So we brought them on every trip we've taken ever since. |
| Another tradition that was just started this year was that of taking non-alcoholic grape juice (fake wine) to Science Olympiad meets. When we won regionals, I had taken a bottle and wrapped it up in a paper bag just to freak Mrs. Kaip out, but instead we used it to celebrate our victory. I didn't bring one to state, and some people blamed our loss on the absence of the stuff. So I'm going to bring some from now on, just for good luck and celebration. |
| There is also another tradition that some people do, but to protect the innocent it won't be discussed here. :o) |
