SSML-118, 9 July 2000

 Hi all,

Another letter this time from our beloved Siobhan, and it's all good news! Thanks once again to John Jennings for passing it on.

Also, for those Marcy fans who don't have 'stuff' from her site yet, the good news is she is now able to accept credit cards for orders. Check out her site for a brand new song to download as well.

 Cheers,
   Mike.

I don't mean to keep plugging my new message board, but a friend sent me a
pic of Siobhan and Marcy at their one US show at the Roxy and it's really
quite amazing. I'm using it as my background image. You can view it at both

I visited SamGoody.com and they have a listing for "Hello" in the cassingle
format, priced at $3.49. Granted, it's availability status is "Unavailable,"
but they even even a Polygram catalog number: 869922. Could this be true?
Was it released as a single? Every time the US promo single appears at eBay,
the seller always claims this song was never commercially released as a
single. Any insights?

Hmm. Steven Gately, from "Boyzone" ...
I heard people say that he stole the vid from Robbie Williams. "Angels"
for his "New beginning" Well, I watched that video, and you know
what..... he stole the song. Guess from who.... from Shuv. It is called
'I can Drive"

I've only heard a sample of Stephen Gately's song "New Beginning", but what I
heard did not sound like "I Can Drive" to me. There may be some similarities
between the two songs but I doubt Gately or whoever else wrote the song (I do
not know who wrote it) ripped off Siobhan's song. "I Can Drive" is not very
well known and its likely they have not heard it or remember it too well if
they had.

Subject: [siobhan] Rerecording of Stay with Siobhan & Liam

Hi guys, I just found this on the discussion site
Deja.com

Can anyone confirm if this is true, it was supposedly printed in the UK mag NME.
Grant

 It reads as follows:

Amazing as it may seem, Oasis 'wild-man' Liam
Gallagher has collaborated with Shakespear's Sister on a
re-recorded version of their classic heat 'Stay'.

Speaking exclusively to NME, Siobhan Fahey from the
band told us: "Yes, it's true. Me and Liam were hanging out at
the same alcoholics-anonymous class. Oops, I don't
think I should have said that, it being anonymous and all. Er no, me and
Liam were hanging out at the Ivy and we just got to talking
about Noel leaving Oasis and what we could do to get him back in
the fold, so to speak. We decided to re-record 'Stay', with
Liam taking the high-pitched banshee-wailing bits. He has a great
falsetto that nobody gets to hear."

She added: "I'd just like to point out that there's
no romantic involvement between me and Liam. We're
just connecting on a purely artistic level. I wish him and Patsy all the
best. And I hope Noel will respond to our duet by returning to
Oasis. Thank- you."

Liam is unavailable for comment cos he's too busy
phoning the 'supersonic mad-hatter woman' about how much he
misses her. Despite the fact that Siobhan totally denies romantic
involvement, we're gonna run with it anyway cos we
need as many readers as possible. We may think Oasis are shit, but
we need them to sell our paper, so we'll print anything about
them. If you have a story, made up or otherwise, please
contact us. Go on, we're desperate!

 I got the article from:

Is it true Siobhan has struggled with a heroin addiction? Is she also an
alcoholic now? I don't read this magazine or follow Oasis, so I wouldn't
know parody from truth. I get seriously disturbed when I read things like
this. Being the child of an alcoholic, I don't find it one bit funny,
especially considering that I adolize that woman. [<~Nick~>]

dear john

ive have been busy making music again and it feels great.i've teamed up
with Gully and clare and we've got some great tracks on the go.I'm also
collaberating with pablo,a dj signed to mowax as one half of (soon to be
legendary) Psychonauts.Pablo and his girlfriend Sherry live with me at
the moment so its a real creative commune with music coming out of
various rooms while Sherry is busy designing her next collection for
Seraph, which is the name of her label, and very groovy gear it is too.
we're all joining forces in a conglomerate which will sell our clothes,
music and films through our shop and website eventually, however this is
all still at the planning stage and i'll keep you posted. I've been enjoying
reading all the emails from fans via the address you set up,however
there doesnt seem to be a way to reply en masse and there are rather too
many to reply to individually,so i wonder if you have the technology to
send this out to them all.thanks for all the positive vibes

Does anyone have the trick for how to make the mp3s on Marcy's site to work. Elaine's Addiction plays fine when I open my Real Player and type in the location http://www.marcelladetroit.com/elains.mp3, but when I do the same for Love Myself, I get only the first note and then silence, and the new one, If, does not play at all. Thank goodness for the gentlemen who has Love Myself on his website. It plays fine there. (I believe it's John Jennings--forgive me if I'm wrong). I'd love to hear this new song if anyone has the solution for me. Thanks.

Subject: [siobhan] favorite ss songs

hello everyone,
i was just curious about what songs you guys like on each of the
albums. i must say there is not one song that ss has done that i
don't like(actually prehistoric daze is one i don't care for too much)
but there are songs i listen to more. i love all the songs on each
of the albums but if i had to choose just 3 off of each, this is what
they would be:
SACRED HEART
sacred heart/you're history/you made me come to this

HORMONALLY YOURS
my 16th apology/moonchild/catwoman

UNRELEASED THIRD ALBUM
go/singles party/do i scare you?/
and the b-sides from i can drive are excellent especially suddenly!)

that was a lot harder than i thought. i know this is a bit silly but
i was just curious. there hasn't been much action on the site so just
thought i'd get something on.
                 peace and love,

If I had to choose three songs from each LP, I'd pick...

SACRED HEART: Heroine, Dirty Mind, Run Silent.

HORMONALLY YOURS: Goodbye Cruel World, Stay, Hello (Turn Your Radio On).

SHAKESPEARS SISTER: I Can Drive, Dial 'F' For Freedom, Was It Something I
Said?

The only difficulties had were choosing just three tracks from HY, the
most brilliant record of all time. Sorry, folks, the self-titled effort
can't hold a candle to HY, but, of course, neither can SH. Isn't it amazing
considering how fine each effort is?! [<~Nick~>]

trouble with Andre.

I haven't got a copy of the 3rd album yet, but if
