Month and a half later
"Are you coming to the wrap party?" Grayson asked Leigh. Grayson Adams had come to the set with AJ two weeks earlier. She and Leigh had instantly hit it off as AJ had predicted.
"No. I've got to go home," Leigh said. "I've got school and my two weeks notice at work."
"Where do you work?" Nick asked, coming into her trailer.
"Domino's Pizza," Leigh said. She made one final look to make sure she had all of her belongings.
"And you're gonna quit?" Nick asked. "But you get pizza!"
"I don't need the money anymore," Leigh said.
"But it's pizza!" Nick exclaimed.
"Calm down Nick," Grayson said.
"Aye, aye," Nick said. "I just came to say hasta la vista."
"Good-bye," Grayson said.
"Not to you!" an exasperated Nick said. "I'm going back to O-Town with you."
"So I suppose I'm the victim," Leigh said.
"Yes ma'am," Nick said. He walked to Leigh and embraced her.
"I'll miss you Nick," Leigh said.
"I'll miss you too," Nick said. "And I promise to call or write."
"Sure you do," Leigh laughed.
Nick softly kissed Leigh's forehead. I love you he thought. Don't go. Not yet.
Leigh din't pull away. She loved his arms. She loved him.
"Nick and Leigh sitting in a tree," Brian chanted.
"Can't we say good-bye in peace?" Nick asked irritably.
"Geez, what crawled up your butt?" Brian asked.
"I think it's name is Brian," Nick said. "I'll see you Leigh."
"Bye," Leigh said quietly. "She gathered her bags. "Bye Brian."
"You need help?" Brian asked.
"No thanks," Leigh said, rushing from her trailer to a cab waiting to take her to the airport.
Nick watched her go. Brian came over to Nick. "What was that all about?"
"What does it matter?" Nick asked.
"It matters that you've been different since Leigh walked into your life," Brian said.
"Don't you mean our lives?" Nick asked. "I'm not the one she's in love with!"
Of course you are," Brian said. "A blind man can see she's in love with you."
"So why was she involved with you?" Nick asked, yelling loudly.
"Involved with me?" Brian asked. "I have a girlfriend."
"Don't play dumb," Nick said. "I saw you kissing."
"Kissing?" Brian asked.
"Yeah, all over each other," Nick said.
"Oh. In the hotel," Brian said. "But that was the only time we kissed."
"Whatever," Nick said.
"No, for real Nick," Brian said. "After that she went to the bathroom and threw up."
"Threw up?" Nick asked.
"Yeah. She had downed A LOT of tequila," Brian said. "Then she came back, somewhat sober, told me that she wasn't interested in me and she was interested in you."
"I am so stupid, stupid, stupid," Nick said.
"No arguements here," Brian said.
"Do you forgive me?" Nick asked.
"For what?" Brian asked.
"For thinking you were a rotten bastard," Nick said.
"Well...just this once," Brian said.
"Thanks," Nick said. "What about Leigh?"
"What about Leigh?" Brian asked.
