"You okay Howie?"Brian asked, coming into the small ER room.
"Yeah, the doctor says it's just a sprain," Howie said. "A nurse is coming to wrap it up in a few minutes. How were the fans?"
"They understood that you couldn't exactly dance to 'Everybody'," Brian answered.
"The other guys are still back there signing, huh?" Howie asked?
"Yeah," Brian said. "They said they'd meet us back at the hotel."
A young nurse walked into the room. "Howard Dorough?"
"That's me," Howie said. "Please call me Howie. This is my friend Brian." "Nice to meet the two of you," the nurse said. "Let me take care of that ankle Howie."
The nurse began to wrap Howie's ankkle, as Brian began babbling about the encores the guys had performed. Howie just stared at the nurse. She had long, dark hair and the most beautiful blue eyes he had ever seen.
"So, how'd you sprain your ankle?" the nurse asked.
"I was working," Howie said.
"Oh," the nurse responded. "Must be rough work."
"Can be," Howie said.
"Yeah," Brian said. "We're in a singing group. Maybe you've heard of us. The Backstreet Boys."
"Sorry," the nurse said.
"Wow! One of the few females who haven't," Brian said. "We'll need your name for that one."
"It's Deanna," the nurse answered. "Are you guys big or something?"
Brian chuckled. Howie answered. "Yeah, we're big among teenyboppers, thanks to this guy here," he said, as he pointed at Brian, "And his best friend.
Deanna laughed, "It must be tough being you. I'm sorry that I haven't heard of you guys."
"Why don't we rectify that situation?" Howie asked. "When do you get off?"
"As soon as I finish this wrap," Deanna answered.
"Good," Howie said. "Come with us to our hotel. Please! You can meet the rest of the guys and listen to some music."
"Well, I don't know," Deanna said.
"We won't attack you or anything," Howie said. "Well, I'll protect you from AJ."
"C'mon," Brian said. "It's definitly cool to meet someone who doesn't know who we are."
"It's against my better judgement, but okay," Deanna said. "You're all done Howie. Meet me in the waiting room in about five minutes."
"See ya then!" Howie said.
