The smog is thick
In this town
Sometimes I think
I'm suffocating
Panting & sweating
Trying to breathe

When I inhale
I feel the
Carbon Monoxide
Infiltrate my lungs
It's a burden that hurts

CURSE this space age
New millennium
SMOG HEAVY
Suffocation pillow
     I want fresh air
     And towering trees
     The same air
     Hunter S. Thompson used to
     Breathe.

But instead I'm choking.
