Mabon

Mabon is celebrated around September 21. This holiday celebrates the last harvest and the coming of Autumn. It thanks the Goddess and God for all the fertility of the sumer, and for the bountiful harvests.

It is traditional practice to take walks in wild places and forests, gathering dried plants and seed pods. Some of these can be used for future herbal magicks; others may be used to decorate the home.

The tradtional foods of Mabon are corn, all vegetables, fruits, grains, cornbread, baked squash, and beans.
