| YAMAHA DX-7 | 16 voice programmable algorithm synthesizer. The synth engine uses FM and additive synthesis working with 6 sinus operators put together 32 algorithms. There are no filters. The synthesis looks quite strange for users of subtractive analogue keyboards but the sound is unique. Keyboard is velocity and aftertouch sensitive and very nice to play. Unfortunately use as a master keyboard is limited due to absence the Local Off function. DX-7 has only mono output, MIDI IN/OUT/THRU, portamento, modulation, sustain and breath controler inputs. Itīs mono timbral machine (with third party expansion called E! 8-timbral). There are 32 places in internal memory to store user sounds and a slot for cartridge (ROM,RAM : 1-4 banks each 32 sounds). And sounds are brilliant ... hard basses, wooden and metalic instruments, organs, flutes, famous e-pianos, excellent digital sounds etc. Weight approx. 14,5 kg.
