The wind blew cold through the streets of Kingston. The ones on the streets turned to the dances for warmth while the majority of the others were at home, too poverty stricken to afford heating. The kids resorted to violence, vandalism, thievery, and selling illegal goods, and had made a name for themselves as the Roughest and Toughest people to ever grace Kingston, Jamaica. They crashed the dances held by the sound system greats, they carried ratchets and guns, and they feared no one. They were oppressed by authority and made crime a way of life. These kids learned life the hard way, not as kids anymore....but as Rude Boys. -By Daniel Browne
