Sleazy Hollywood metal band (whose name was lifted from a
Russ Meyer flick) Faster Pussycat released its first
album in 1987 in the explosion of the LA hard rock bands
(playing with bands like Poison and Guns N'Roses) and
peaked commercially two years later with the gold album,
Wake Me When It's Over,hitting on MTV and the Top Forty
single, "House of Pain."Although their next
album, 1992's Whipped, hit #90 on the charts, and gave us
the classic tune "Non Stop To Nowhere" it fell
off the charts quickly; with the alternative rock
explosion, the hard rock audience had changed and had no
patience for Faster Pussycat's trashy glam metal. Too bad
it happened altough the band still have thousands of fans
around teh world.1987 Faster Pussycat (Elektra Still

"Nonstop to Nowhere" as
recorded by
Faster Pussycat
CHORUS 1:
I'm on the lame train
I got a first-class ticket on the nonstop to nowhere
Where it takes me I don't know
I guess the tracks you make are your own
Well it's 5 o'clock in the morning And I can't fall
asleep again
Times are changing and moving fast Way too fast for me
Seems like only yesterday I was skipping school and
stealing gasoline
I've been talking I guess you call it Talking a white lie
One minute I'm on top of the world And the next thing you
know
CHORUS 1:
Sometimes I just sit and daydream And I just slip away
from here
If only I had a crystal ball Or could invent a time
machine
I'd go into the future Take a good look around
And see what life has in store for me
I've been walking I guess you call it Walking a thin line
One minute I'm on top of the world And the next thing you
know
CHORUS 2:
I'm on the lame train
I got a first-class ticket on the nonstop to nowhere
Where it takes me I don't know
I guess the tracks you make are your own
It's like achain gang going I know the exit
But my problems seem to follow me
Wherever I go Nonstop to nowhere
I don't believe the preachers They're just sticking out
their hands
I don't believe the government And who the hell's this
Uncle Sam?
Mr. Conductor Will you help me off this train?
Well I believe I'm on the wrong one and it's taking me
down the drain
CHORUS 2:
"House Of
Pain" As recorded by Faster Pussycat
It's a little past supper time
I'm still out on the porch step sittin' on my behind,
Waiting for you.
Wondrin' if everything's alright,
Moma said,"Come in boy, don't waste your time,"
I said,"I've got time. Well he'll be here
soon."
Five years old and talkin' to myself.
Where were you? Where'd ya go? Daddy can't you tell?
Chorus.
~~~~~~~
I'm not tryin' to fake it, and I ain't the one to blame.
No, there's no one home in my house of pain.
I didn't write these pages and my script's been
re-arranged.
No, there's no one home in my house of pain.
Wasn't I worth the time?
A boy needs a daddy like a dance to mime and all the
time,
Ilooked up to you.
I paced my room a million times.
And all I ever got was one big line, the same old lie.
How could you?
Well I was eighteen and still talkin' to myself.
Where were you? Where'd ya go? Daddy can't ya tell?
