Mother Love Bone (1987-1990) was the band before Pearl Jam. The band included Bruce Fairweather, Andrew Wood, Greg Gilmore, and Pearl Jam members Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament. Pearl Jam was formed after the tragic death of Mother Love Bone lead singer Andrew Wood.

Temple of the Dog (1991) included members from Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. The band consisted of Soundgarden's Chris Cornell and Matt Cameron, and Pearl Jam members Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Eddie Vedder.

Stone Gossard's side band. Brad, created in 1993, features Regan Hagar, Shawn Smith, Jeremy Toback, and Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard. You might have heard the band on Pearl Jam's Monkeywrench Radio broadcast on January 31. 1998.
