August marked the first gig for Resurrection Eve without long-standing guitarist, Tyson. Their amiable split saw guest guitarist Mav (Her Majesty’s Finest, Tankt etc) fill in for what promises to be a regular gig. Resurrection Eve will continue as a two-piece outfit, employing the talents of a few guest musicians for live and studio appearances. It also marked their first appearance as label buddies with Tankt, illustrating the quality and extent of the collaborative work being done by these two outfits recently.
On Saturday 17th August you’ll find the lads on stage at the Brunswick Town Hall for their first foray into the All Ages scene, sharing the polished boards with Immaculata and one or two special guests, with Djs mixing it up between bands. The night kicks off at 7pm - early enough to have you back home and in bed well before the witching hour!

A lot has been happening in the Res Eve camp in the last couple of months. Apart from furiously recording the new album, Jordan has been working with Tankt on some of the material for there soon to be released LP, putting in some backing vocal performances both in the studio and live.
All this sparked from the Armageddon Gig where the bands' mutual appreciation extended to colaboration (with the possibilty of some remixes of Res Eve material coming from Tankt HQ shortly). It also facilitated the inception of Res Eve into the GUP family, with Rapture due to be released on the GUP label and 'Ancient Curse' also available via mail order.GUP
The lads take a short break from recording to appear at Abyss@HiFi on Friday 7th June which promises to give a taste of the material currently being worked on in the studio.

Writing and recording has begun for the new album 'Rapture'(projected release date - some time end of 2002!) employing the 'State of the Art' Roland VS-2480 24 bit Digital Workstation. December will see the band head for the studio to put down the basics for another track off the next album. With plans to use guest percussionists, a string quartet and even more electronic gadgets, the album looks to be an all-consuming process! With tracks like ZEN already scheduled for release on German compilation - Dark Awakenings Vol.2 - you can rest assured that 'Rapture' will set in concrete Resurrection Eve's commitment to producing music that opens the mind and touches the heart!

Guitarist, Tyson has recently been spotted in the DJ booth at new club Psychonaut, Fridays @ the Velvet Bar. If he's anything like Jordan, you can be rest assured that there'll be plenty of gratuitous self promotion going on!! Keyboard player/programmer Mark has recently procurred himself a 'new toy' in the way of the Korg Triton keyboard allowing him to rework album favourites 'Wish' and 'Ancient Curse'. Wish has been transformed into a 'dance floor doof hit' with Ancient Curse backing off to a more melodic , orchestral ballad pace, changes which may see live performances of these songs as 'b' sides on coming releases!
