Tour Dates/BBC/Prank/Soundtracks

More tour dates for the Brazil tour are here! They were announced on Ipanema 94.9 and Folharada Ipanema on TV. The new dates are in the Tour Dates section. However, there was no info given on what venues the new shows were going to be held at. More info will be here when I get it. Thanks to Howling Wind for this info.
According to the "Bootleg Session" tape on the front of this week's NME, the Foo's 1997 BBC session was recorded on the 30th of April. But on the back of the Everlong Vinyl single, Nick has told me it says "Recorded 5/19/97. Can anyone tell me the correct date?
OZZY FALLS FOR NAUGHTY BOY, DAVE GROHL FALLS FOR A PRANK The Mavis's will be joining uber punks Green Day on their tour of Australia. Another recent tourist, Ozzy Osborne, ran into the Mavis's in George Street in Sydney. He invited them to his show, and told them that he was most impressed with 'Naughty Boy'. Speaking of naughty boys, Dave Grohl also expressed fondness for The Mavis's, his pick being 'Cry'. Dave opened the last show of his recent Australia / New Zealand tour with a hearty trademark whack on his snare drum, only to discover the road crew had covered it with flour...Thanks to Xavier For This Info.
Along with the Godzilla sountrack the Foo Fighters are doing the "X-Files" movie soundtrack too, which is no surprise since they were a part of the x-files show soundtrack. Also since Dave and his former wife appeared in an earlier episode. Thanks to Devin for this info.

TCATS/Guitar World and more GW

According to the Foo Fighters Label Capitol Records, The Sophomore release from the band has now gone Platinum! This is great news for the foos and everybody else. Thanks for buying the record.
It's been out for awhile but the newest issue of Guitar One has My Hero tabbed in it. From what I've seen of them playing it live, it's tabbed wrong on parts, but it sounds right. Thanks to Foo Alien for this news.
In the Guitar World readers poll Foo Fighters came in second for best alternative band, and 4th for biggest disappointment for Pat Smear leaving. Thanks to Devin for this info.
