I realize that my take on this song is terribly pessimistic, but I think that STTIMS is kind of a down album anyway. "Unreflected" is about the realization of the futility of your life. You think of other people that you've loved (another life that cuts the cold) or maybe your own brilliant life and see that they only live on in your memories. Nobody will ever tell because nobody will ever care how you felt. You decided it was your choice to take on the world armed as you wish (Follow anybody is that what you do) but see that inevitably you wish you had chosen a different path, maybe then you'd leave your footprint on the sands of time. (Maybe it transfits to don something else to do) You have no wisdom or treasures to pass on (We don't have much to say...We don't have much) and when you leave your life, your life is gone. (another life that's left) This song is all about knowing that you stop when your breath stops, "the unreflected feeling of a shortened flattened soul".
