Paula is once again a contender for the Grammy® Awards! She is up for Best Record, for "I Don't Want to Wait."
Paula, among other prose performers, including fellow Berklee
alumna Aimee Mann, is featured on an upcoming compilation
currently namd "Modern-Day Storytellers." The album,
featuring a demo version of "Bethlehem," was recently
released.The track

For those of you who have heard Paula perform John Lennon's "Working
Class Hero" live, (for lyrics, go here)
here is your chance to
obtain a studio recording of the empowering cover. Paula will
be featured on a tribute album,also titled "Working Class
Hero." This
release has been postponed and rearranged, so be sure to check
back for the latest news on the album.
Paula toured as the "special guest of Matchbox 20. For information

Pop-folkie Jewel will headline the
"Women In Music" concert, scheduled for Jan. 25 at New
York's Madison
Square Garden. Also set to perform that night are pop singer Paula
Cole,
folk icon Judy Collins, soul singer Chaka Khan, singer/songwriter
Janis Ian, jazzy singer Phobe Snow, "I Am Woman" singer
Helen Reddy and blues veteran Odetta. The concert benefits the
Turner/Fonda Project, an educational and outreach program designed
to
ensure that women have access to family-planning information and
services. The concert also serves to benefit Zero Population Growth,
an organization which cites abortion as a method to control population.
The concert takes place 3 days after the anniversary of the landmark
Roe vs. Wade case.
Tickets for the show went on sale Dec. 10 through TicketMaster.

Did you catch Paula on the GQ awards Oct. 31 and Nov. 1? The ceremony
opened with Paula's new version of "Where Have All
the Cowboys Gone?." Check out this
picture to glimpse the new effect. (Paula also plays drums
beside Jay to end this song!) Paula
also performed and taped "I Don't Want to Wait," which
was not aired.
Been waiting to see Paula on the silver screen? Your chance may
not be too far ahead, when an independent film called "Don't
Explain" makes its debut. The produer is none other than
This Fire musician and boyfriend Seyi Sonuga. Paula details life
under the lights acting as a pregnant woman in New York City:
"It was 102 degrees, I was wearing a giant Styrofoam belly
and full makeup, then I hit my head and had a concussion for two
days," she said. "It was hard work -- very challenging."
