I've been involved with the Internet since October 1996, which isn't a long time. I've been involved with Bush for longer. Yes, I am obsessed with Bush, I shall not deny it. So there!
Bush's "mascot" is Winston, Gavin's Hungarian sheepdog, or puli. This dog is absolutely adorable, and kicks arse too! I, of course, fell in "puppy love" with Winston and made him my "mascot" too.
Over the summer, I got another dose of puppy love towards an amazing guy I met online, who just happened to live a few blocks away from me (go figure). He also loved Winston, and wanted to buy a puli himself. Unfortunately, that fell through, but out of that we got our nicknames for each other: Puliking and Puliqueen. You can probably guess who was who.
Around the end of September/beginning of October 1997, Puliking and I grew farther apart, much to my great sorrow. We still talk, and I still consider him a great guy. But he dropped the Puliking label long ago.
I, however, held on to my title, crowned Winston as "THE Puliking", and am now proud to be known (at least to myself) as "Winston's right-hand puli"! Now, if only someone'd let Winston know...
