And then the end of an
era began. You see the picture, and that is all that would be
left for the 91-92 season. In the beginning of the season the
Warriors traded their starting shooting guard to the Sacramento
Kings, where he was confined up until this off season where he
was traded for C-Web, but that's another story all together, for
the rights to Billy Owens, who was the third overall pick, a
6'9" Forward, who could play big and small, but for the
Warriors he could never replace the Rock. But that was the
beginning of it all. And as you say from there the rest is
History.......

- Mitch was the first casualty of Nelson's Debacle of the
Warriors as he went away with Les Jepsen to the
Sacramento Kings for Billy Owens and a 1995 second round
pick. It was the start of everything that went downhill
for the Warriors. Click picture for exact turnout of the trade. |

22,1996 - Tim
was the second casualty of War as he was in a heated
dispute with then Warriors coach Rick Adelman and a
bitter relationship with back court mate and Cancer of
the Present Warriors Latrell Sprewell. He played as bad
as he could and had a very ugly demand for a trade out of
town and was granted as he was sent with (All-Star) Chris
Gatling to the Miami Heat for Bimbo Coles and Kevin
Willis. Click picture for exact turnout of the trade. |
| August 12, 1997 - The last piece of a the puzzle had finally left. He went to a better place for him, but to lose him was like letting go of all that was great about the Warriors. It was like letting go of all that the Warriors, all that was exciting, we got our starting center, and a young one at that, and swingman Duane Ferrel. But I guess that you can just call it sentimentality. | ![]() |
