The newest "Supreme Talent" to join the group hails from Dallas, Texas in the USA. She made a stunning UK debut and proved to be an immediate crowd pleaser. Her
vocal style is very strong- somewhere in the style of the great diva's Aretha and Patti LaBelle so Freddi has added a new blend to the groups harmonies.
On stage she excels on numbers like "Respect" - a firm favorite of hers and she also does a great job on the Supremes numbers that she sings lead on, particularly "You Can't Hurry Love".
Her first show with with the Ladies was in Los Angeles and before coming to the UK, she performed with the group in Colorado.
She has since travelled to Japan, where they worked with the Temptin' Temptations! and the Platters
Her career began in High School where she was a member of a group called the Delicates which she formed. As she recalls "We were young girls with big voices!"
Freddi grew up on church/gospel music; her family are all skilled musicians.
The Delicates were introduced to Challenge Records. Among the recordings made for the Label was "Stop Shoving Me Around" which is a northern soul favorite.
She remained with the Delicates for another 5 years before leaving to go into other areas. She then started working for Lola Falana who was an actress/ singer as a backing vocalist for the next 9 years, then she worked with artists such as Sammy Davis Jr., Gladys Knight
and other big name stars.
In the Mid '70s she was also a member of the group Wild Honey where they managed to penetrate the RnB chart with "At The Top Of The Stairs" on the Drive Label.
Freddi and Lynda first met in the mid 1980's and they became good friends.
Among her other performances were a 1989 performance in Britain and Later in France with the Charles May Gospel Ensemble at the Midem festival.
Since joining the group, they have also travelled to all corners of the earth like Vienna, Holland, Belgium, Sri Lanka and Singapore.
But Freddi always loves her visits to the UK which are now too numerous to count. Freddi is not a Member of the Supremes and never has been, nor does she profess to be. She is there to make up the trio, and in all honesty she performs this task with the greatest of ease and elegance.
Freddi is in one word - "Supreme"!
