OMIGOD, TAYLOR HANSON TALKED TO ME!

Once we were done making the posters, it took us about an hour to go to sleep….all we could think about is "OMIGOD, WE’RE GONNA BE FOURTH ROW FROM HANSON!"

The next morning, we got up at 7, packed the car, and headed off at about 9 AM…we were planning to leave at 8, but our car had an oil leak, so my dad had to fix it….so at around 9, my mom, Jennica, and me, headed off for VA Beach! The first thing we though was, "omigod, we have to ride through Charlotte in the car!" (remember, it’s now painted!) Everyone was staring at us! We didn’t get any honks! We got little kids in buses laughing at us! But guess what! We didn’t care, because it was for Hanson, and we love Hanson and are proud of it!

Finally, we hit Richmond, VA…about an hour and a half away from VA Beach….as we got off the exit ramp on to I-64….we were behind this van….and as we got closer, we noticed that they had HANSON posters taped ALL over their car, and "WE LOVE HANSON" written in dust on their windows! So my mom sped up, and as we drove by them, they saw the HONK IF YOU LUV HANSON sign on our car! They started going crazy! We kept holding signs up in the windows, talking back and forth…it was SO fun! We weren’t the only Hanson maniacs out there! There were about 4 girls in the car…..so I held up a sign that said "we have 4th row!" and they held up a sign "WE HAVE BACKSTAGE PASSES!" OMIGOD ME AND JENNICA WE FREAKIN! And so we continued to hold up signs….a little while later, all the traffic got stopped for about 10 minutes…because for some reason we couldn’t go through this tunnel…so their van was behind ours….and I was blowing bubbles out my window, and yelling at these college guys making fun of our car….whoa that was fun! And then the next thing I know those girls were standing by our window…..so we talked…they had lawn seats, but had gotten BS passes from a friend….remember these girls now, they appear later in my totally true story, -k-! N-e, they could not believe we had gotten fourth row 2 days before, hehe. So finally, the traffic started moving, so they ran back to their car…..later on, we had to get off at an exit to go to our hotel first, so they kept going on I-64 to the amphitheatre…and we were like "we lost them now :-("
Well, once we got off at the exit, we had NO IDEA where the hotel was..we had no directions…so we stopped at a gas station…and while we were there my mom bought a bouquet of flowers, and a rose for Hanson!
We finally got to the hotel, and checked in and everything…we took showers and changed, and then headed off to the Amphitheater….of course we got lost on the way, but as we neared it, we got so many honks from Hanson lovers! It was awesome! And when we parked, everyone was like… "wow, look at that car". Then my mom took pics of us with our flowers and posters, and we headed off to the Will Call window to get our FOURTH ROW SEATS! Then we went in to the park. The first thing we did, you guessed it, RAN TO OUR SEATS! WE STARTED FREAKING OUT WHEN WE SAW HOW CLOSE THEY WERE! IT WAS AN UNBELIEVABLE BIRTHDAY WISH, COME TRUE! We put our stuff down, and then went to get something to eat. Then came back.
No later did Admiral Twin come on! We had made friends with the girls behind us, and the girl infront of us. So we were like the only people standing up. We were dancing and singing, and I knew all the songs cuz this was my 3rd time seeing Admiral Twin….we made so much eye contact with them! You can’t even imagine how close we were! We’d be practically onstage if we were front row! I kept yelling "GO MARK!" "GO JARROD!" "GO JOHN!" "GO BRAD!"….AND THEY SMILED AT ME! MARK WINKED AT ME!!! So when it got quiet I kept waving my hands and yelling "MARK, CAN I HAVE YOUR PICK?!!!!!" And I was so mad, because then John threw his pick, and it landed by the girl in front of me, so she has it! No fair! But oh well :-)

While Admiral Twin was on stage, all the stage hands had taken all the presents for Hanson off the stage, and we still hadn’t put the flowers on there…..so we decided to add MORE to our note…we had already written….."we love you, you’re awesome….love your best and biggest fans, amanda anda jennica" so we added on the back "look for the glow sticks in the 4th row!"…hey, maybe they saw it, maybe that’s what made them TALK TO US!….because we put it up on stage, and the guard said that a stage hand would come take it to them backstage…so we went to the bathroom, and when we came back, the flowers were gone! Hanson must have had them! But we kept our rose to throw onstage during the concert!

Then they played "My Girl" so we sang our version…..which goes something like this!: "I guess you say, what can make me feel this way, ISAAC, TAYLOR,ZACKIE, TALKING BOUT, HANSON! MY GUYS! WHOO WHOOOOAOOO!"….I had made that up at the Charlotte concert….then omigod, like a minute later, the lights went out, and you heard the beginning key boards to "GIMME SOME LOVIN’"!!!! AAHHHH! THE CONCERT HAD STARTED! Then the curtain dropped, and our main men, Hanson were there! We were SSSOOOOO CLOSE! After they finished "GSL" I think was the first time Taylor looked at me and smiled…see, we had put 5 glowsticks on each shoelace….so I had 5 on each of my wrist, and Jennica had the same….we were so totally noticable by hanson! I swear on my grave, you may not believe me, or get jealous, but through the whole first part of the concert, Taylor was staring at me, smiling, and he actually WINKED at me! I swear to God! He WINKED at me! I kept staring into his eyes, and smiling, just so he’d know I loved him! And I made major eye contact with Ike, and when they came out for the 3 Car Garage segment, OMIGOD! Zac was staring right in to my eyes, and I kept waving the glowsticks!

That entire concert from the moment it started, I was jumping, screaming, holding up my posters, smiling at them, and waving my glowsticks like a freak….no one else had that idea! We were the only ones with more than one glowstick!

Next, taylor and Zac came out with water bottles! I swear on my grave, TAYLOR CAME, STOOD DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME, SMILED AT ME, AND THREW HIS WATER BOTTLE TO ME! But it bounced off the back of my chair, and this girl behind me got it. I was SO pissed off! That girl had already gotten to go backstage before the concert and get her Albertane tour t-shirt SIGNED my TAYLOR! UGH she makes me made! And then she was like, sucking on the bottle! EWW!

Then they sang some more…and later came out with the waterGUNS! Tay and Zac got me SOAKED! I had worn a BRAND NEW shirt, and to this day I still haven’t washed it…it’s HOLY HANSON WATER! I CAN’T WASH IT!

NOW, HERE IS THE GOOD PART! THE PART THAT MADE MY 15th BIRTHDAY THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE! Okay, you may only understand this if you have been to an Albertane concert. But, this is the part where Isaac takes over Taylor’s keyboard, and Tay takes a microphone and walks around stage and goes "I NOTICE A LOT OF YOU OUT THERE WITH THOSE GLOW THINGS! LOOK, ZAC HAS SOME! *zac holds up his glow in the dark drum sticks* C’MON EVERYONE, WAVE EM AROUND, LET ME SEE EM!"……I swear, Taylor was totally flirting with us! He WOULD NOT LOOK IN OUR DIRECTION! He kept looking out in to the crowd yelling "wave em around!"……and then he stopped…it all got quiet…..he walked to the egde of the stage, pointed down at me and Jennica, and with the biggest smile on his face(cutest dimples) said "YOU GUYS DOWN THERE! I DON’T KNOW HOW YOU DID THAT, BUT THAT IS TOTALLY AWESOME! YOU 2 ROCK!" Everything was quiet, everyone’s eyes were on us, including ALL THREE Hanson’s…..and so I started crying and going crazy, and I was yelling "OMIGOD TAYLOR, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! TAYLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"…..if you could have only seen me! Jennica was crying a bit, but not nearly as bad as me….I couldn’t even talk! I was in total tears….everyone around me was hugging me, like "It’s ok, you’ll be ok"….I couldn’t believe it, taylor had noticed us….he talked to us, it was a dram come true. Then he went back to his keyboard….and was like "okay, this is our last song"…of course I knew it wasn’t, cuz I’d seen this show 3 times….and they sang "Man From Milwaukee". Jennica was jumping up and down to the music along with everyone else, but all I could do was cry…and cry….and cry…and then I started screaming and jumping up and down again, still crying…after they finished the song, I held up my "2DAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!" poster, it was the only poster up….and Taylor waved good bye to the crowd, and turned arund. And as he was walking away, he stopped, and slowly turned around….he brushed his hair back with his hand, and READ MY POSTER! Then he smiled at me, but I couldn’t tell if he was lipping "happy birthday" or not. Then all the girls around me were like "OMIGOD, DID YOU JUST SEE THAT?! HE JUST READ YOUR POSTER!" and I was like "OMIGOD, I know!" and then I about fainted…..once they walked of stage, I went crazy….I ripped my glowstick bracelet off my hand, took one off, shoved it in the rose, and once they came back on stage, I threw it up on stage! But it kinda, uh, didn’t land where I wanted it to. I wanted to throw it infront of Taylor…but I was so excited, I threw it near Zac’s drums…..I looked up on stage, and saw this big glowing thing in front of the speaker by Zac’s drums! LOL!

Well, then the concert finished, and bla bla bla…and so we went and stood by the backstage door like everyone else, but the guards made us leave. So we went to find my mom. Once we found her, guess who she was talking to?!!!!! No, not Hanson, LOL…but those 4 girls that were in the van behind us! They HADN’T gone backstage yet! So we started freaking out…..and before I started talking to them, I was still totally in tears…and I yelled "MOM! OMIGOD, TAYLOR TALKED TO US MOM…*CRY* TAYLOR TALKED TO US! *STILL CRYING*"…..and I told her what he said and when. And we still had the glowsticks on our wristism so everyone was like "omigosh, those are the girls he talked to, look"….I was totally hysterical.
