Alan "Whitey" White

Alan
  • Full Name: Alan White
  • Date of Birth: May 26, 1972
  • Place of Birth: South-East London
  • Band Chores: Drums, percussion

  • Interesting Fact: Alan's brother worked with British music star Paul Weller.

  • Quote: "I thought they'd all be a bunch of nutses." (refering to the band)

  • Brief Biography: Alan White is the newest member of Oasis; he's been with the band since the spring of 1995. He was brought in the band after Oasis' previous drummer, Tony McCarroll, was fired for lack of talent. A couple weeks after Tony was fired, Noel heard Alan playing and thought he was really good. Noel called him up the next day, asking if he wanted to be in his band, and Alan said yes. This was the day before Oasis was scheduled to play on the show "Top of the Pops", so Alan had to learn the drumming to Some Might Say (the song they played on that show) overnight.
