ALQUIN
Alquin is a Dutch group, founded in 1970 by Job Tarenskeen, Ronald Ottenhof and Dick Franssen, a Rythem & Blues-trio. They called themselves Treshold Fear then. They were very popular in the student-life in Delft. After Ferdinand Bakker, Hein Mars and Paul Westrate joined the band, they changed the name to Alquin, named after their rehearsal-place and student-society, Alcuin.

In 1977, during the explosion of punk, internal differences about the musical direction lead to the end of Alquin.
The album Crash is released as a review of their career.
Job Tarenskeen and Ferdinand Bakker form the New Wave group Meteors.
In 1996, there is a short reunion-tour, visiting several Dutch university-cities.
